Yeah, I'm not dead yet. I've been playing 1/2 PLO with the meager remains of my BR, hoping to get lucky. Anyway, what do you think about this.

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $2 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

UTG ($37.05)
Hero ($234.45)
MP1 ($346.50)
MP2 ($292.55)
MP3 ($178.50)
CO ($926.30)
Button ($240.15)
SB ($29)
BB ($162.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q, 5, Q, 2.
1 fold, Hero calls $2, MP1 calls $2, MP2 calls $2, MP3 calls $2, 3 folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($11) 5, 2, Q (5 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

I usually abhor slowplaying top set, but I figured that with no flush draws out, and with the two pairs covered, I was best off hoping someone would hit a lower set on the turn and get their stack in. Thoughts?

If the tble is passive bet. If the tbale is aggressive, check.

They were passive, but they were tight-passive. I figured that I wasn't getting action unless at least top two was out there, and with me covering the board the way I was, I didn't think it was likely.

I guess the question is how much does getting outdrawn occasionally by someone who picks up a draw on the turn counterbalance occasionally getting all-in way ahead when someone turns a lower set.

Seemed like an interesting hand when I posted it, but it looks pretty basic now. Anyway, I think it's a good way to mix up my play since I almost never slow-play on a non-paired board, and this is about as good a situation as you could find to do that.

I think playing in early position with 5 and a 2 dangling with your queens isn't a very safe thing to do in the first place. Since this was an unraised pot preflop, did you think anyone had a straight draw with that 5 2 on the board?

On a tight-passive table, I'd rather pick up the small pots because you can do it more often than not. The thought process is more "that bet's too expensive, I'll fold," rather than "does he have queens? i should fold."

I would bet.

I am not a fan of slowplaying unless you have something like QQ on a QJJ kinda board but if you really want to slowplay this board looks suitable for it.

If you are check-raising on flop if someone bets i am fine with it.

Yeah, I'm probably C/Ring if anyone bets (unless it's just a min-bet stab from the button or something), but I'm not really expecting anyone too. It just looks like a flop that no one hit, and I'm willing to let someone occasionally outdraw me since I think my net gain will be more the few times someone turns a lower set.

Just realized I never gave results. It checked around, turn was a 7 icon_suit_club.gif, I bet the pot, get one caller. River blank (or maybe board pair, nothing that would beat me anyway), I bet the pot and get a fold. Nothing too exciting.
