First of all I wonder if there is any software that can help me decide what I could defend profitable with vs a pure blindsteal (lets say 40% steal in pokertracker stats).
I have used pokerstove to some degree , but it really just answers me what % I would win the hand, when it often just comes down to releasing the hand on flop or not.
I would never see the past turn anyway with a hand like 10 9 that missed or just had a gutshot going. So the times I would hit 10 or 9 on the river should be removed from the pokerstove answer.
Im just not sure what math i should put into the pokerstove percentages , lets say im in the BB in a 6max game. CO raises (almost never steals and has a 18 % pfr) , button calls 2 bets cold which he does with
30 % of his hands anyway. And im in BB with 10 9 off .. Pokerstove tells me i have aprox 23 % chance of winning the hand.. So based on that number I should call. But if the preflop raiser cont bets a K 6 4 board with 2 clubs ( i have none) , I still have to lay down the hand even though button folded. And even worse , button is a calling station who will peel a lot of hopeless boards (and never raise to protect his hand even if he has got a good hand) will force me to fold even more hands. So im not getting the 23% chance of winning after all since im forced to fold a lot of boards we both miss. Can anyone give me pointers on this? I know there is a lot of IFs to this question but I can work them out with some help. I just want a more "real" value to the Pokerstove numbers, and what I should interpet from them.
In situations where UTG raises 9.8 % (pokerstove) of his hands and its folded to you (6max) , what hands would you play? You are both equally good post flop.
Thanks in advance
