I couldnt get past half of the first page, but this reminded me of one of my favorite Mitch Hedberg quotes

QUOTE (gkunit20 @ Thursday, November 23rd, 2006, 11:39 PM) *
You're not supposed to tell the answer until people have actually guessed. That defeats the whole purpose.

If you are gonna quiz me, you must put a pause in there.

What is the area of a triangle that has sides of 14, 11 and 25 inches long?

A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

What substance is 50% heavier than a cubic foot of coal, but when reduced in weight by 50% weighs less than a cubic foot of coal?

I don't think you can make a triangle out of those lengths.

"This statement is false."

1.5 cubic feet of coal

1.5 cubic feet of coal. It's 50% heavier than 1 cubic foot of coal, and when reduced by 50% weighs 75% of a cubic foot of coal.

Correct. given sides of a triangle A, B, and C, the following must be true:
A+B>C
A+C>B
B+C>A

else sides of said length cannot be made into a triangle.

You can, but technically it's a straight line.

saying this statement is false isn't really making a statement tho, it's circular.

Empirical evidence pls. Even if govt spending is not fixed, I can argue that households can reasonably predict how spending would change and adjust accordingly.

Also, students are given a greater choice of schools, ie they can move to schools outside of their district. Effects on 1) school efficiency, 2) student performance.

It's the exact same thing as "You will sentence me to 6 years in jail." If it's true, he spends four years in jail, which means it's false, which means he spends six years in jail, which means it's true (repeat).

"This statement is false" works the same way. "If the statement is true, the statement is false, which means the statement is true..."

ya I really don't know anything about the Barro-Ricardian equivalence, I just looked on wiki and took the first thing I saw.

and I stand by the fact that saying this statement is false does not count as a statement. It's true that is works but seems to break some rules of logic or something, I dunno I just don't like it. NO SOUP FOR YOU

Answer: 3x-3

Seriously.

The value for F is 3. F is the sixth letter of the alphabet.
3*(3)-3=6

The value for O is 6. O is the fifteenth letter of the alphabet.
3*(6)-3=15

And so on.

I hope that isn't the answer you were going for, because it's totally retarded.

U is the 21st letter of the alphabet

3*(8)-3=21

R is the 18th letter of the alphabet

3*(7)-3-=18

I give you 154 points and 7 cookies for figuring that out....

but thats not the answer and thats truly pathetic that you have so much time on your hand to even think of that

this is WAY simpler then you guy think

looking back on that, that doesnt surprise me that that worked. Once you guys figure it out, you'll see why that whole thing actually worked, it makes sense why.

The stick was a stick of dynamite that exploded.

The stick was a javelin that went through the other guy's head.

The stick weighed 700 pounds and was dropped off the top of a tall building.

The stick was used to beat to death the person who makes up riddles like this, and when he realized what he had done, he dropped it.
