I chose to play this passive although there was possible straights and flushes that could hit. On the river is this a good value bet here based on his stack or should I have just put him all-in and hope for a call? Also to be honest I wasn't quite sure where he was at although when I check raised the turn i figure if he had any hand he would be pushing.

I could make a case for raising preflop, but with short stack sizes I prefer completing.

I don't mind check-raising the flop, but check-calling is too dangerous on that board. I like a c/r to ~$2.25. This isn't a good time to slowplay.

As played, c/r turn to $4. That makes is easier to get the rest of his money on the river.

On the river you can go ahead and put him allin. He only has $6 left.

Totally agree that I shouldn't have slow played this but I wanted to gamble a little bit here.

I like to limp with pocket pairs as opposed to raising only for set value. That's probably a preference to the type of players people are

Yah maybe I should have just put him all-in here.

He had 10,10 so if I would have check raised the flop and could have probably put him all in on the turn or river.

thx
