Lol. Probably a mix of both.
If you are against a set and the nut flush draw you are all but screwed. I just don't think that after a pot and a repot you'll have that many outs (and your straight draw could easily be a split). Because you have the 8d that eliminates the possibility of the OESFD as well, so any flush draw should have the ace.
What hands do you think you are against that you have good equity against? As I say, if you had the Ad the money would be straight in there.
