Great, so I won. But the preflop call? Leading out on the flop? Help.

On the second hand, you have a great draw, but I don't like the preflop call for 2 reasons.

1. You're not closing the action pre-flop, and still have and UTG limper and the the original raiser behind you who can re-raise a significant amount.

2. The big raiser just put in 1/2 his stack, so there aren't great implied odds if you do hit, especially if the limper and/or UTG don't come along.

Once you do hit, you've got the nut straight, plus a huge wrap on a higher straight, and no flush draw on the board. The only thinkgto really worry about on the turn is the board pairing, and you've got one of those outs in your hand. The big raiser has already committed 1/2 his stack, and will likely be in, at this point, I think you want to extract as much as possible from the original raiser, and should check to him, and if the LP raiser pushes, just call to see if you can get the original raiser to come along.

thats what i thought about those hands as well.

But 2 things to know from being at the table is, everyone played tight/passive. There was a TON of limping and minimal re-raising preflop.

Also the middle guy in that hand I was beating on. I figured he'd call from tilt thinking i was trying to isolate him out.

And how does one get away from bottom set on a flop that isn't coordinated.

Q72 rainbow, and you have 22 to a bet and a call - whom you pot it.. and the OR reraises for less than double your raise, and in turn called. IE: 1 bet, 2 call, me pot, 1 raised about 50% of my raise, 2 calls... on me now? With no other draw, but a backdoor straight?

Is it possible to lay the second hand down pre-flop, or is this a case of it is a good cash table hand but not a tourney hand? I almost want to say lay it down pre-flop, but again there is alot of money out there.
