Saw this this morning. I liked it. all the acting was really good. pretty funny. definitely recommend you go see it.

it was nice to see will ferrell in this type of role. I love all his characters but it was cool to see him toned down.

Maggie Gyllenhaal looks very good in it. usually don't think she looks that good but she has a very cool tatoo on her arm that made her more attractive to me.

Tony Hale (buster in arrested development) has a funny small role.

Dustin Hoffman was himself as always. had quite a few funny lines.

Emma Thompson had the perfect voice for the narrator and perfect as the writer.

everything seems to fit almost perfectly. I'm not saying it's the best film of all time, but I think it could be one that people love or hate.

I haven't seen it yet so I don't have much to add, except that Maggie Gyllenhaal is a babe. And the movie looks great, I'm excited to see it.

Saw this last weekend also. I liked it.... wasn't Amazing or anything, but definitely enjoyable, and while Will Ferrell did a fine job in it, I think the supporting cast made the movie for the most part.

And I couldn't agree more about Maggie Gyllenhal looking good in this one... I really didn't think she was all that attractive before... She always looks way older than she really is, but she looked pretty nice in this movie. Good change.

I saw it also, over the weekend. It seems to fit into a new-ish genre that includes Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine and other movies (most of them Charlie Kaufman screenplays) in which reality and surreality intermingle.

In general, I thought it was quite good, despite a penchant for popping computer images of calculations on the screen and a certain affection for plot contrivances. Will Ferrell was very good and puts a solid dramatic spin on his comedic persona. I think quite a few peope in the cinema were a little baffled at the dramatic scope of the movie. That being said, it's not really a drama, more like a dramedy. Emma Thompson was excellent, if a little over the top, as the unhinged creatively blocked author and the rest of the cast was solid.

While it's definitely worth seeing, waiting for it on DVD won't kill you.
