El oh El. This post is either funny because of the idea that Keith Carradine is a good actor, or that the cast is such horrible actor that Keith is a Giant positive in comparison to them.


Here's the big positive of season 2.. Lila is hot.

Well there is a huge drop off in talent between the star of the show and everyone else. Though the guy who played Doakes got to do a little more in season 2 I thought KC was a good addition to the cast.

Lila was annoying, glad she got the knife.

I finally finished Season 2 today on my iPod. I thought you all would care to know.



A third season of Dexter was announced following the season two finale, in which an ad ran assuring Dexter would return in 2008. Season three will premiere September 28, 2008 on Showtime.

Meh trailer. Seems kinda similar to last season, but Im still so stoked for it to start.

Breaking his code and doing unplanned killing against people that don't necessarily fit his normal profile. Doesn't look the same to me.

I'm just curious if it will have the same wooden acting, bad dialog, and boring inter-office sub plots. I'd care more about that than what gimmick they've picked to make season 3 center on.

I kind of know what you mean, as I have watched 2 seasons of it, because I really like the concept, and there are glimpses of greatness. but it's so god awfully written that I'm cutting bait this year.

A video game based on Dexter was announced on March 4, 2008, to be developed by Marc Ecko's game development company, which previously developed the controversial urban graffiti game Getting Up. "Dexter is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling video game," said Marc Fernandez, Vice President of Marc Ecko Entertainment.

More info was released at the San Diego Comic-Con, revealing that the games would be released exclusively on the iPhone and iPod Touch, via iTunes, and that the games would be episodic.

Sweet, I'll have to something to play in between the awesome 24 and Lost games.

I agree. They make her trashy and somewhat odd looking on purpose imo...I did find her acting got quite a bit better through the 2nd season.

Looking forward to this, because most of what's on TV is crap and this show is head and shoulders above that level. And several other severed body parts, for that matter...

I agree with this. Her acting was atrocious early on but has gotten considerably better.

Im going to pick up Emily Rose along with Season 2 tonight. Based on her rave reviews in that, I don't know that she's gotten better as much as her character on Dexter getting more likeable.

I had seen the the last two episodes of season 1 on whatever broadcast channel picked it up before seeing the rest. I thought they did a great job throughout the season dropping threads for the last episode to tie up.

there's a difference between hollywood hot, and regular person hot. If I met her in real life, I'd think she was extremely hot. But among her peer group, she is not that attractive.

End of season 2...spoiler question.

Did Dexter really kill Lila or was it his or her dream? Im assuming it was her dream, since theres nothing else shown about her being tracked there, which of course leaves things open for her return. If the leaks about him sinking further into psychosis then a tag-team of killers would be an obvious story line. Besides, except for the lips, shes hawt.

Is there any support for that? It doesnt bother you that there is no explanation of how he found her and how he could have left the country and returned without leaving a trail that could implicate him?

Dude he has tracked and efficiently killed hundreds of people. Why would it be that hard to believe that Lila is really dead? I dont think they needed to show any more than they did.

Having it be a dream sequence would be beyond terrible.

There is zero evidence for it being a dream sequence (aside from them skipping over a scene about him tracking her down, which would have just been useless)...therefore we have to assume that it was real.



It's almost like you didn't notice how careful we're being not to spoil anything for those that might not have finished the season yet, since we know there are people that check this thread who specifically said they were in the middle of it.

one thing about what people told me about this show that bothered me was that (wow awful sentence) they'd all say, "It's about a serial killer that kills other serial killers." No it fucking not. It's about a serial killer that kills killers. He just happens to kill one serial killer at the end of the first season. I don't see how you could've watched the show and told people this and not realized you were an idiot for saying it like that (hopes I never described it that way to anyone (especially in print on this forum)).

hopefully he edits it, but my response to his question is the location and the logistics of getting there and back without leaving a clear trail with passports/visas etc. He's just narrowly avoid capture 3 times and relishes his new found freedom. Leaving a trail like that doesnt make sense.

Yeah, it may not make much sense, but I don't think that we can assume it's a dream sequence because of that. Then again, why would anyone look into him having a paper trail to London? It's not like her disappearence would be registered with Miami PD. Even so:

Wow, i never even considered the possibility that was Lila's dream sequence. I see nothing to support that contention.

If I don't want to know the score of the football game I taped, i avoid sports highlight shows. If someone is idiotic enough to come into the dexter discussion thread and expect to not see spoilers from things several months ago, well...they're just stupid.
