Lets assume that I have exactly the same winrate in the games I play on both sites.

Which is a better deal

Pokerstars with their lower rake and VIP program
or full tilt with rakeback and a bonus

if I have to achieve a certain VIP level to make pokerstars better what is it?
Zach6668
I've never been more than Goldstar on Stars, and I still feel the bonus is worth it, given the chance to play on the best software, and against probably the weakest competition now that Party has closed (ignoring your identical wr stipulation).

However, if you play enough hands, it's not hard to become Platinum, and then eventually Supernova.

You need 4k VPP to become Gold, and 10k VPP for Platinum. It's Nov 6th, and I've already got 2300, so I think this may be my first Platinum month if I continue to put the hands in...

I don't know much about FT though, so take this for what it's worth.

Pokerstars should do FPP point vacations, that would be cool to earn a vacation playing poker.

They have (had) a thing for supernovas where you could essentially tell them what to get you. I know that's how pp24 got his $6500 Best Buy gift card. I'm sure you could convince them of an all incusive trip to Cancun or something if you paid 30k rake/year like a lof othe supernovas...lol

That is pretty sick.

The FPPs on FT seem much worse than Stars - how much worse are they? FT gear seems to cost 5xmore.

I'm retarded, I read about those like two days ago when browsing the store...

I just started on PS, so excuse the dumb question... what good is the VIP program to your bankroll? Isn't it just points to buy stuff with? If there is some way to turn points into cash please let me know...

They have cash bonuses but they are not a good deal, but some electronics or something and put it on Ebay.

Save up for the aston martin and sell it.

THe cash equivalent (if you used their cash redemption option) is $75,000.

The MSRP is $110,000, but it tends to sell for a lot more.

If you're a casual player it should only take you, oh say... 500 years?

I have moved to Stars from crypto tonight.

First thing that surprised me was i could only deposit 600 via Neteller.I had to e-mail support to increase the limit.

I haven't played much hands but competition seems ok.A mix of good and bad players but balance is in favour of good players.

I think tables aren't very clear and i really miss the thing on crypto which tells you what you have.I noticed it really made me lazy.
Now i have to look every single card in my hand and on board to see if i have something how uncool is that????!!!!!!!!!111oneone

****

I also 4 tabled for 4 hours and lost a buy in tonight.Nice welcome stars!

Turkey,

There are a million ways to customize Stars... play around with it for a bit. You'll see why we all love it.

I thought the fpps didnt match the $ value.

I think the best thing to do though is go supernova, get like 1.5-2 mill points then use the concierge service to get a car that costs in the 20-30k range. Thats at least my goal for by some time next fall.

Random:Abba wats ur msn again

And to add something to the thread and not hijack i've always really liked pokerstars. Good support, decent game selection up through the mid limits and a ton of tourney options. The new VIP club is a nice added bonus as well.
Abbaddabba
Depends on what value they give you at the conceirge.

For the porsche, they told me that they transfer 60k american to the nearest porsche dealership and you can use it on whatever.

60k/3mill = 2 cents per point

For the cash redemption option, they only give you the equivalent of 1.5cents per point.

full tilt with rakeback is better....and it's not even close

yea. i asked this same question on two plus two. they said with rakeback and a bonus its a lot better. without a bonus and just rakeback being a supernova is close but still not as good.

considering the difference in the level of play isnt that great, i cant imagine why anybody is playing low stakes on stars right now.

I cant imagine why anybody is playing low stakes on fulltilt either given that there are options better than it too.

not necessarily abba. Games are much easier to find/datamine @ ftp and the short handed limit games are softer there than @ AP
Abbaddabba
My winrate dropped by somethingl ike .3BB/100 at most moving from party to AP.

The gap between the benefits at AP and FT is larger than that.

(and you can mine on AP)

They used to before the bill got passed, I think amazon pulled out then not wanting to be affiliated with the whole situation. I got 400 bucks worth when I noticed they were getting rid of them. Kinda sucks cause the new bonuses are crap, so I just buy any cool limited edition stuff they offer.
