I'm renting #2 tonite so I can catch up. I saw some trailers on the Screem awards and it looks gory.

I had seen it once before but wanted a refresher

the first one was overrated, the second one was terrible, i plan on not seeing this one.

i will be seeing it tonight, in a couple of hours in fact and have been waiting for this since the ending of the last one.

first two were great...can't wait

I just saw the 1st one for the 1st time, this week. It was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I need to rent the 2nd one now.

It scares me,
not the movie.
But the fact so many of us want to watch this.
And someone actually made it.
It taps into a really dark place you're ashamed of, or should be.

a friend of mine (kind of a wuss) said it was really "disgusting" and left after the first ten minutes because he felt sick to his stomach.

I thought the first one was brilliant, an original concept... didn't care so much for 2, watching people cut up their wrists with razors and jump in a hole filled with needles is not my idea of an entertaining movie.

I plan to skip the 3rd one since I thought #2 was just sick and don't know how people come up with these ideas. What's worst is movies like these make real killers rethink their plan of torture for their victims.

QFT. Maybe it's because I had people falling all over themselves to convince me how great the first one was, but I thought it was mediocre at best. I like a good plot twist and all, but not one that's there just for the sake of a shock ending. F that noise.

I'm expecting it to be crappier then both the first and second one, which would be pretty hard to do.

Both 1 and 2 were great. I can't wait until I get the chance to see Saw III.

yeah, 3 was even more of "man, I'm a sick, sick movie maker, what can I get away with here" I liked it; but I'm sick.

Hostel 2 is coming out. now to me, the theme of that movie is horrifying

I've always liked those cheap looking bad acting horror films more than the refined wel produced ones. It feels more real to me. I Spit on Your Grave and Last House on the Left come to mind

yea i saw it, not so impressed. wanna watch the departed tho, thats suppose to be good.

i saw a brief interview with on the writers and he said that he went online and looked at spanish inquisition torture devices and he was shocked to see what some people really did to each other. Also saw 2, was not that gory in fact i thought most of it was weak, although i thought they would go a lot further than they did really made me mad, but the third one went where i wanted it to go and then some so i applaud them for that.

im a huge fan of the series but i love horror and gore films in general. I dont go to movies like this to see superb acting and great dialouge, in fact i dont expect it, i see them to watch horror and gore plain and simple. i just want to be shocked and in the third one it was pretty much there.

PS. i cant wait for hostel 2, better be gorier than the first one, i thought it was pretty weak

Hstel was a bit of a let down in gore; but to me, it was huge on the "oh my god, the thought of that actually going on, is very disturbing"

like those movies/storie about rich hunters taking homeless people out to the mountains/woods and giving them minimal rations/equipment, and then having a game of hunting the homeless guy down.

dont get me wrong its pretty sick that stuff like that may or may not go on, but i still just keep it in the mind that is a movie and i move on.

damn i remember that movie with the homeless guy, ICE-T played the main part but i forget the name, it was pretty entertaining, well since he killed them and so forth.

How does it compare to Saw II? I really enjoyed the first one and then found the 2nd one to be rediculous gore that wasn't nearly as enjoyable but still watchable.

If III is worse, I'm not even going to bother.

I actually own the DVD. I love it. Not quality, but good nonetheless.


And as for Saw, I only saw the first one. Probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

i saw this movie the other day. I had been looking forward to it for a while and I wasn't disappointed.

I don't normally like gore or horror flicks, but Saw just rubbed me the right way.


Saw III wasn't as good as Saw I or II IMO, but it did tie everything together and I enjoyed it.

For those that saw it, do you think there will be a Saw IV?

If they do make a Saw IV, I won't see it. Not because I didn't like this one, but because it's a stupid idea. This one ended it fine.

Saw III: 34 / 15 / 7

But profit might motivate them to do more.
Early indications, though, show tha this last one has less staying power

I really hated how this one ended with everyone dying. It really defeated the purpose of the whole series. That's not to say I didn't like the movie, and wouldn't want to see more, I just don't know where they can take it from here. Maybe the guy who lived (and didn't learn forgiveness) will become the new Jigsaw, and his daughter will be his assistant? Not sure if I'd like Saw IV or not if they do decide to make it.
