I am a new poster to FCP and want to share my poker quest with everyone. My goal is to reach a BR of 25K to allow me to play in Party's $1000 NL/PL cash games. My current BR is $13,300. I have been playing holdem seriously for 15 months primarly on-line, but sometimes at B&M's. I started by playing the $25 NL cash games on Party and have worked my way up by playing the $100 buy in cash games on Party and then the $400 buy ins cash games on UB and FTP. Currently, I am playing the 600 PL buy in games on Party and 200-500 buy in NL games at B&M's.

To reach the 25K, I plan on 3 tabling the 600 PL/NL games on party. I feel that my BR of appx. 23 buy ins is adeqaute to sustain some down swings. If I fall below 9K, I plan on moving down a limit. I plan on playing at least 20 hours a week and updating my progress on FCP as much as possible. Obviously, I will include hand histories because I welcome all critiques. I do not believe that I have all the answers or that I play perfect poker. However, I do feel that my posts should be able to generate some good discussions. And that is why I am sharing my quest with everyone, to improve game and to generate a discussion of NL/PL cash games. These games are increasingly popular and most of the poker lit. is concerned w/ limit and tournament poker. Also, by sharing my quest with everyone, I will be forced to play a more disciplined style of poker that I will be able to defend to any critics that may emerge. Hopefully, we will all be able to benefit from my quest.

definately like the idea and think it should turn into some worthwhile discussions about certain ways to play NLHE hands. Also just an observation, I had heard that for the $1k buyin games on Party you would want at least a $30K bankroll because of the very high variance of those games, just a thought.

luk to you dude. Be sure to post hands with full thought processes. The play at those levels is much more sophisticated then what most are used to so this is a great idea IMO as it will be much more playin the man then anything else. I like this

I'm particularly excited about discussing high stakes nl/pl because like it or not I don't have the patience for lower stakes limit, but I never get tired of nl/pl strategy even more so when it is online nl/pl because you lose so much of your ability to use physical reads and other tactics which come into live games, and I've had a hard time making my online game as solid as I would like... good luck to you.
