i dont know about cash games, but i took a look at their tourny schedule and it's absolute crap.

a month or two ago my gf wanted me to play their weekly freeroll with her, i picked up 2nd for about $40. maybe i'll go back & play something with it & give a (probably unhelpful) review of their low limit stuff or a few tourneys.

I'm not offended either, but I can see why his avatar could be considered offensive.

It doesn't offend me either. (Nor did the mouse/vagina) But if a mouse that looks like a vagina has to be taken down, then an animation of actual (virtual ) sex probably has to be also.
Really it sucks that we have to be so PC. I'm more concerned about fairness.

I've played on this site for a couple months now. In the beginning I was on the good side of every bad beat possible. That lasted about a month. I must say I get outdrawn like it's my job now and haven't hit one of my own draws in a long time. I stay away from that site now.

Their tournaments are weird. They are basically all-in fests.

Overall, quality of play on the site is very poor so there is money to be made I guess.

What about the fact that I can get $660 in bonus money on Doyle, and apparently the limit on Stars is $75. That is a huge difference, does the play compensate? Or is there a way to get a better bonus on Stars?

I play on Doyle's quite a bit (Tribeca). They have a good bonus but it's not very easy to clear. Not many games past 2/4 NL and not much limit past 2/4, but a ton of Omaha action. Play is very fishy. If you haven't signed up yet, get rakeback first...I think they take a lot of rake and it piles up very quickly if you multi-table. Software is really nice.

All I know about Doyle's is what Vatche already alluded to. The tournament schedule is garbage. For cash game players, maybe it works, but for MTTers, it's useless. Here's hoping FCP doesn't go there.

I took 2nd in the 1st tournament I played, a 20K. Bought a special humidor filled with 30 humongous cigars.

Still have 3 of them left.

Plus the bounty tournaments are fun.


But the format is kind of weak, I expect it will get better sooned than later.

i only played on doyles room for a lil bit but they didnt seem to have the games i wantwd to play like mid limit holdem cash games not many ppl on it at a time( atleast a coupe months ago when i was there) if ya want they got some sick $.10 but in heads up tourneys?

I personally can't stand the software, tourney structures, etc. Especially the software... maybe it would just take getting used to, but the way the betting works is not in line w/ other sites.

Its OK my small BR ($200) on there wnet up and down like hooker bobbing for apples til I finally went busto. I played a lot for about two months and came now here close to getting my bonus, you have to play a lot of hands to get it. The Stud games are as weak as can be, but as I always do I try to play a bigger game than I should. I did win a a tourney for abour $400 but blew it all back in PLO.
