Hi, was playing 1/2 NL at a local this past weekend and the following occured:

I get A3 hearts. I have about $180-200 in front of me. I call the BB, no raises and 4 people see the flop, which is KQJ, two hearts. A check, a bet of $15 and guy #3 (clearly a pro by the way he tosses his chips into play lol) bets $50.

I thought seriously about calling, but I folded after about a minute or two (I prefer quick decisions). What would you have done? Fold, call or push? The other two guys folded, so we never saw the turn and river.

Fold. You aren't getting good pot odds and you don't really have great implied odds. Guy #3 most likely has two pair/straight and I wouldn't expect much fold equity.

I don't think this is as easy a fold as you guys make it out.

I just pokerstoved it. and we are have 41% equity against a range of AT, KQ, and KJ both suited and off suit.

If villian is a lag you have enough fold equity to push.

We might be able to put him on other hands like JJ or 10 10 as well. doubt a QQ or KK would play this way preflop.

What hands will he fold? I don't see him raising there with one pair.

You can't call. It's either fold or push.

If you're going to push, then you gotta put him on QJ, JT or maybe even KJ and KNOW that he'll lay it down.

He might even have T icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_heart.gif and have the OESD with a flush draw. Or a pair and a flush draw. I wouldn't expect him to lay either of these down.

If you're pushing, it's becuase you think he'll lay down to the excessive action, and because you know you got plenty of outs to make the nuts.

I think that folding is never wrong, especially since you only invested 2$, but if you're in the mood, go ahead and push.
