I raised the original caller after the flop to make it unprofitable for any draws to the flush since I already had hit it. SB came over the top with a check/raise all-in.

I had one out to the nut straight flush if SB had made a higher flush - would you have called the all-in?

It's pretty close, I'd say. You had 300 in on the flop and only 1000 left. Plus you've got the flush.

If I were playing it, I would probably muck and go on, but that's a personal preference against lesser opponents. If I were the small blind in this spot, I could see myself check-raising all in with top pair and the nut flush draw.

I don't like to play 76s UTG in a MTT unless I have a commanding chip leads and very good reads on the table.

This is a hand that's only dangerous in large multiway pots. I fold it PF. But I can understand limping with it too.

But anyway, you have to lay this down without a very good read on the player.

There is the chance he flopped a set or has the Ad though, but you can't make a call here with a blind read.

This is exactly why I don't like suited connectors. It just puts you in too many second-place situations. They're a cash game hand, where you can put a little money in preflop when you know you're behind but getting a little implied. Plus you were UTG+1??? Even in a cash game I think it's a leak to limp (with the intention of calling later preflop raises) too early with cutesy hands like 76s. Just my opinion though...

Early in tournaments, be very strict in your hand selection. Don't play many hands worse than JJ or TT.

In the hand you mentioned, you're almost definitely beat. For a $50 buy in, I don't want to risk it on a baby flush.
