Hand 1: Villian is 12/2 over 100 hands or so, so i know he has something good.
I really debated about just calling instead of re-raising preflop, would that be a better play preflop against a player like this?

Hand 2: This is the hand i really wanted to post about...I just want some opinions on the line i took, if its the best choice or if i leave myself too open to being beaten.

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is Button with K icon_suit_diamond.gif A icon_suit_heart.gif
3 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, [color:#cc0000]Hero raises to $2[/color], SB calls, BB folds, MP2 calls.

Flop: 7 icon_suit_club.gif 4 icon_suit_club.gif A icon_suit_spade.gif ($6.5, 3 players)
SB bets $4, MP2 calls, Hero calls.

I hate when this happens, i get lead into and then another calls before me, im pretty sure one of them has a draw, but the other might have 2 pair or a set...should i put in a nice raise here to find out exactly where we are, or is calling fine?

Turn: 6 icon_suit_heart.gif ($18.5, 3 players)
SB checks, MP2 bets $12.5, Hero calls, SB folds.

Ok, SB backed down, he probably has a weak ace and got scared off by having 2 people call him on the flop. MP2 now leads for a nice bet, but something tells me he's just springing to action because he was checked to. I'm not totally sure where i stand against him, he could have the club draw...a str8 draw did just hit, but he could have a hand like A10 as well. I was tempted to put him all in seeing as he only has another 12.5 behind him and at this point i HAVE to call that when he pushes it. But im still not sure of what SB has in store here, so i decided to just call and make sure he didnt put in a big check raise with a flopped set or somethin like that. good?

River: 4 icon_suit_diamond.gif ($43.5, 2 players)
MP2 is all-in $12.45, Hero calls.

good, SB folded on the turn, now i just call and hope he missed the clubs or has a weaker ace.

Results:
Final pot: $68.4

I think i played hand 2 decently, but i think that raising somewhere a long the line would be a better play so i want to get your opinions on it.

With a bed and a coldcall on a board with 2 clubs and a possible straight draw, just calling there with AK is stupid. You had no idea where you're at the whole hand because you never tested anybody's hand.

You just said "I'm gonna call down hoping he's got...." when you had no idea what he had.

You have to raise the flop and get some information and make them pay if they're drawing.

You didn't leave yourself open to being beaten, you invited them to come into your home and beat you.

Pre-Flop: It's minimal difference but I prefer a raise to $2.50 here because someone has already limped. Generally I like to raise 4x the BB + 1x for every limper. Refer to Fox and Harker's Mastering No Limit Hold 'Em if you are interested.

The Flop: This is the crucial time to define your hand while it's not going to cost you much. A raise will define your opponents holdings and give you a solid idea of where you are at. If someone engages you, it's decision time.

The Turn: Calling is the worst option, it's raise or fold for mine. If you are going to call $12 on the turn, you generally aren't going to lay it down for $12 at the river, so you might as well make the aggressive play now... or fold if you sense you are beat. You said it yourself, you thought the SB had given up on the hand after being called in two spots on the flop so your reason for not getting it all-in there was flawed, back your judgement.
