Saw it last night...being a big Dane Cook fan I was very disappointed. The screenplay was terrible and I laughed only about 6 times. Andy Di.ck, Dax Sheppard & Pedro (from Napoleon Dynamite) were great but Jessica Simpson just acted like she was reading her lines from a cue card....great boobs though...they got more attention than her lines. Overall I gave it a 5 out of 10.

Very generous sir. I expect this to be nominated for a few razzies.

Really? I thought 6 out of 10. I guess I'm too generous too, but we have to accept it for what it is, a dumb comedy. That is why I grade it accordingly. It will never be a movie like the God Father or Pulp Fiction, because of the type of movie it is. For being a dumb comedy it wasn't "that" bad.

I will not see this crap fest. What a waste of money. Why not let some young indy directors make something thats actually good and original.
Ron_Mexico
you wanna know how Dane Cook is actually funny.

Go to the Improv in CityPlace West Palm Beach, FL, and before a comic comes up they run promos of comedians that have been or are coming. The publicity photo of Dane Cook trying to look sexy in a tank top, with so much make up on to cover his pot marks. That sirs, is high comedy.

Hey OZe!

I am a big Cook fan too, but lately...man I dunno. His Sat. Night Live appearance was just horrible and this movie.....mehhhh.....just NOT good.

He's been striking out lately. Hope he rights the ship. As one the best, most original comics to come around in a long time, Id like to see him stay a while.

It's not that funny. That is the problem- I can listen to a Seinfeld or Chris Rock or Mitch Hedburgh album over and over and they are always funny. They deal with actual issues, they connect with the audience in a way that Cook has no handle on as an entertainer- his thing is yell alot, say stupid ****, and hopefully the kids will like it. If you pay attention to his crowds you will see I am right- these aren't sophisticated, intelligent crowds- they are drunk kids who don't know the difference.

See, and there is the kicker. I go to a comedy show to laugh hard, not a little, and when I am not laughing I feel 2 things- one, out of place, like I am naked in english class in 9th grade, and everyone is watching me because apparently I don't get it, and 2, like a tool because I spent 60 bucks to sit up front and see this unfunny a hole.

Best comedy show I have ever been to was this lady I worked with named Eileen, who was batshit crazy. She had all kinds of stories, she used to be an olympic speedskater, on her off days she was supposedly a 911 operator and she always had some loony story connected to that, she was a former WWF wrestler- she was a habitual liar is what she was, and when she invited me to her ladies night out comedy show and handed me tickets I went, although I fully expected her to not be there. She was, and as it turns out she was the headliner, and she killed. The stories she told were pretty much bullshit, and half of the stuff she said I would just figure she was lying, but that's not the point. The way she told the story made you listen and laugh, whether you bought it or not. Good comics do that, they engage you. Call me picky- and yes, Ron, I will move to Massachusets with you- call me picky but I want to be engaged. Or touched inappropriately, that works as well.
