Ok, so here is the situation. My friends and I get together about once a week and play poker. All types really, and all variations.

Recently however, we have been playing more and more Omaha and Omahahilo.

Now just from reading some basic things on this, I have been able to get heads up in all three of our tournaments which is where my problem comes in.

I have absolutly no idea on how to play heads up omaha.

here is a hand from our recent match.

Me: 1000chipsish
Villian: 200chips

Me:9 icon_suit_club.gif 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif 7 icon_suit_club.gif 6 icon_suit_heart.gif
Villian: Pushes all in.

Now, I assume that this is an instacall, but what if the stacks are equal? Or what if they are slightly tilted in his favor?

I generally screw up when its heads up.

I assume big pairs are good when its heads up.you don't wanna see an ace or king on board with a hand like that.I wouldn't call an all in with that hand.I can't say why i wouldn't,because i don't know myself either but i still wouldn't.I would wait for something like AKxx.

Change the 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif to the 8 icon_suit_heart.gif and I instacall.

the blinds aren't important at all in this question.

Yeah, it's a call here with blinds at any level other than 10/20 or below, really. If you're playing PLO then this is an easy call (blinds must be over 35/70 for him to push in)

I have reached heads up in a number of PLO tourneys. Obviously, the blind/stack ratios are pretty high at this point, which makes it a bit of a crap-shoot, but I think the correct approach to this game is to keep the pots small pre-flop and on the flop, and push hard on the turn and river if you feel you have the best hand.

You've got the whole middle part of the deck. I roll the dice here.
