New season has started. She's a college girl now. Still as sassy as ever. Not sure if I'm gonna dig the new storyline. We'll have to see how it plays out.

I did enjoy her reference of "Boom goes the dynamite" in the episode. I do enjoy this show.

Forget the fact she's hot, she's one heck of a detective.

this is a great show....i watched all of season 1, but i missed the whole season 2 because i missed the 1st episode due to my cable going out 10 min before it started. (i didnt know you can DL episodes at the time)


anyone know if season 2 is available on DVD yet?

also, was season 2 as good as season 1?

So who was the guy that Mr. Mars picked up from the jail and took to see Kendall? - didn't really remember from last year what was going on there.

As expected I loved last nights premiere. I’ve read that they are changing it up this season and instead of having one huge story arc that lasts the whole season they have split it up in to three mysteries that will resolve themselves with in a matter of episodes. Hopefully the stories will be cohesive but I am looking forward to seeing the pace quicken a bit.

I loved the storyline with Keith and Kendall. I think this will set us up for a very good season for Keith. He’s needs a good juicy storyline. I also like how they are finally going to deal with the college rape storyline. I was annoyed how they left it unsolved last year.

All in all, I think it was a good start and I can’t wait for the next episode.

P.S. I Logan

I have no idea. I remembered last year Kendall showed up with a briefcase right before he was gonna leave for vacation with Veronica, then he left her alone at the airport to do something with her. They didn't even show what was in the briefcase. Musta been money.

Not sure of the backstory on him or that.

I'm sure they'll let us know, they usually make it idiot proof. Thank goodness.

Some things bother me about shows that are made cheaply. The raped girls faux bald head was annoying and then the horrible wig she was wearing. Don't get me started.

I've never seen the show, so if I start tuning in now how difficult will it be to figure out what's going on? I mean if she's hot and quoting the dude then I kinda think it's an imperative for me to start watching.

well, they always do the recap before the show, but I don't want to lead you on and make you think its a brilliant show.

but she is hot and some of the characters are very sarcastic, which I like. Some of the plots are paper thin though

It was never implied that it was the pinnacle of intellectual tv, but since I've kinda lost interest in watching the WSOP I could use something entertaining for tuesday nights before boston legal. I just hate when I start to watch a show after a couple seasons and its full of inside jokes or running plotlines built up over the previous season where I'll be flat out lost. But I do enjoy the sarcasm, so maybe I'll check it out.

The idea of this season was that people could come in and watch without knowing a lot of the backstory, so I think you should give it a shot.

Okay, so during the commercials of the HORSE event on ESPN I'd flip over to VM. Granted, not the best way to get the full sense of a show, but what I saw I liked.

As Ron said, many of the characters had a sarcastic sense about them, and I kind of liked that. So, hopefully next week I'll watch the full episode.

One question I have right now: what is the importance of the necklace? Seems like there's some fairly consequential back story I'm missing there. I'm sure as I tune in more I'll have other questions, but I'll try to keep them to a minimum. If you guys wouldn't mind answering, that would be appreciated.

in the first season, the whole case involved her friend Lily getting murdered and her investigating the case. Lily was the daughter of a Microsoft like rich family, Veronica was dating the brother. Logan was the boyfriend of Lily.

Turns out, Logan's day Aaron Echols, who was a popular actor, was banging Lily as well and ended up killing her, and trying to kill Veronica eventually.

I don't feel nearly as gay as a should explaining VM to someone.

Thanks, I figured it was something along those lines but wanted to know for sure. Even with the season one spoiler it would probably still be interesting just for the snarky dialogue etc.

part of the back story in the first season, why she was an outcast in high school, was because she was date raped at a party. She finally figured out who did it but I can't remember. They never showed that episode, but they would occasionally do a flashback from that party when she got taken in the booty.

That and she is poor.

Originally she found out that Duncan, also on GHB, did it, but then last year she discovered that before Duncan came into the room, Beaver was there too.

yeah, pretty good episode tonight.

Yay - my DVR recorded a bunch of blank space for last night's episode - guess I'll have to catch it on a rerun.

I read the recaps - how did Mercer end up being the rapist? Wasn't he down in Mexico with Logan when one of the rapes went down (or was that a fake one) and he was in it with Moe (the tea providing guy from the dorms)?

Yeah, as you know, the rape that occured while they were in Mexico was fake, staged by the lesbos. Moe was the one that provided the keys to the rooms of the girls to DJ Mercer. His DJ show was obviously being taped ahead of time.

Veronica was waiting in the to be raped girls room with stun gun, but things didn't go as planned, she was "saved" by the RA Moe, who then doped her, called Mercer, they were gonna OD her on GHB, but one of the raped girls, I forget her name, the computer girls roommate heard the rape whistle Veronica had (early episode set up) and got help.

Mercer and Moe were in jail and Logan got himself arrested and then put in the same holding cell as them and was gonna whoop some butt.

Oh yeah, the Dean hired Keith to see if his wife was cheating. Long story short, Keith came up empty but Veronica found out who the client was and spilled the dirt. Drunk Dean went to the hotel, confronted them, he brought a gun, but they didn't show any of that at all, only her opening the door for him and him saying hello. Cut to the dean waking up on his couch, a person they didn't show opening the door and the Dean asking "what are you doing here?" Cut to next scene, Dean dead with a bullet wound to the temple.

No episode next week.

The bit of how Logan got himself arrested made me giggle....

Keith takes the case of Dean O'Dell's death when the widow asks him for help (she can't collect the life insurance since the police ruled it a suicide). The key point is that the 40 year old scotch that the Dean was saving was not touched; Keith figured that if the Dean was going to commit suicide, he would have drank that instead of the swill that he did drink.

Also, Keith tried to trick Veronica's professor (the one sleeping with the Dean's wife) by getting into a conversation with him at a bar but the prof recognized him from the book.

As for Veronica, she takes the case of a couple of lab techs at the school when someone breaks in and takes all the test rats and test monkey while destroying the computer as well. Veronica and Mac join PHAT (a PETA type org) to try to learn more. Mac ends up getting together with the head of PHAT (hard to get over the fact that your last boyfriend was a psychopath) while VM ends up figuring out that one of the lab techs ended up bonding with the monkey and took it home as a pet (instead of killing it at the end of the experiment). Saccharine City.

Logan gets down with a surfer girl in his truck; then VM after having a nice chat with Piz goes back to Logan's place where they reconcile. Next morning, Piz sits down with VM for breakfast thinking wanton thoughts but has his hopes dashed when Logan joins them and it's obvious that they are back together.

thx bears, i guess ron wasn't my only hope. I saw the end and was kind peeved the VM didn't pick up on where Piz was going with that chat in the dining area. I also caught Keith's ham-handed attempt to trick the prof, pretty lame actually, like a crimonology prof is gonna confess to murder to a random dude at a bar puhleeeeeeeze....the rest of the stuff I missed so thanks again for the info.
