I have class tonight until 8:30 and then I'm supposed to be tutoring somebody in the class for our Mid-Term next week, but I'm gonna cancel the tutoring session so I can get my own version of the lesson in poker.
Now that school has started back up I only get to play one day a week if I'm lucky.

I'm liking Stars/.
Not sure I can properly express why
Tourney formats are better, for one
THe play feels more advanced at comparable buy-ins.
Not sure Why I'd like that though
Right now playing only for fun, not BR building; so I probably like playing what feels like a more reasonable game
Prety sure I"ll get killed tonight.

pokerfan1080
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006, 6:22 PM
I thought maybe he had top pair and decent kicker, or maybe 10,8.
Even considered he was maybe just trying to push a weak/tight player out of the hand.

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006, 6:22 PM
As played I probably go broke there too, putting him on A2 or A5, calling my flop bet with a piece and then pushing his two pair. I'd assume AT would raise at some point in the hand. A passive T that picked up two pair on the turn is also possible. 2T5r is a dream come true for a set, no reason to do anything but slowplay.
However I would bet the turn to see what's going on. I don't think he calls another bet with a weak holding like A2. We could really narrow his range with that bet.

I like the price.
So we aren't folding.
If we push, we'l make it 1900 : 600 and any K/Q calls., obviously
It's a stange bet that protects little but still seems committal.
I think we just call
And fold turn UI to a push
Those kind of plays by SB's mess with me

Final Pot: t825
First some self-criticism.
Preflop: Of the three choices I have, I now think calling is the worst. This is eather a raise/fold situation, correct?
Flop: Nobody took a stab at it, so I figured I would since I caught a decent piece. Looking back should I have bet more to chase out any draws?
Turn: I check to keep the pot small (That whole small pots for small hands thing, right?)
River: Plenty of hands out there that beat me, and I'm probably behind, but I'm still not conviced the fold was the right move? Help?
Thanks for the cheap game guys, it was definately a learning experience. Hope I get to do it again soon.

I didn't even think he had two pair...I thought he had something like AQ and AK..
He cont/ bet the flop, shut down on the turn, and finally hit on the river...I figured that was my best shot at stacking him, although an open push might look like a bluff too...
