I think it looks like crap, although I wasn't repelled by it. It's sort of like X-Men meets Indiana Jones with pretty tweeners. Might get good, but it's not my kind of show, aside from the fact that I always wanted to be able to fly and self-heal.

Heroes is going to be great. It is attempting to, stylistically, mimic Lost. I like the idea of a television show that will, seemingly, birth a comic universe. Hopefully it will not limit itself to a one deminsional apocalyptic idea as alluded to in the premiere.

I caught the rerun last night on USA (who is apparently rerunning all of NBC's new shows on latenight) and thought it was kind of funny. The hero archtypes are hilarious.
One guy has to get completly high to apparently see the future through paintings.
And why does the asian guy have to look constipated to use his power.

Last night's episode was very slow until the end. I loved the cliffhanger. looks like they are laying the ground work for some interesting television. Next week apparently it all comes together and there is some serious superhuman mutant power action. Should be good times.

I think that it was the painter but it happened in the future which can be changed; for instance, the Japanese guy brought along his friend to the U.S. whereas in the "first" future, he didn't go.
What was with the black guy at the bar which caused the mind reader to keel over? Was it because the guy had no thoughts to read?
Wonder where the cheerleader is, who brought her there and who "opened" her up.

The first couple of episodes got me somewhat interested in the show. I've come to the conclusion that this show has massive potential to be one of the best shows ever. The writing of the story is genuinely developing the characters and making them genuine people. The "good guys" aren't so goody goody as to the point of causing nausea, and the "bad guys" aren't bad to the point of commiting acts for no purpose other than just to be evil. Also, I like how some characters are still floating in the good guy or bad guy gray area. Furthermore, they seem to be developing a well thought out mythology and storyline.
Basically, I'm hooked.

I like the show but would like to see the storyline actually do something instead of the basic stuff its been doing for 4 weeks. Its almost like they have an idea where they want to get to by the end of season one and it isn't very far inthe story line so we have to sit and wait for that with nothing happening but filling epoisdes in between.

First thing I thought when I saw him speaking perfect English was, "I wonder how many times the bomb is going to go off before they get it right?" I'm sure they aren't going to do it like Groundhog Day, but there's no way he can speak English that well after a couple of weeks. But then the question is, why would he go back in time that far (assuming it's far after they save the world so he could learn English). It boggles my mind is all.

Hmm, though it seems as Claire's dad is a villian could it be possible that the writers are just pulling our legs and that Claire's father is actually a good guy? Like before the Cop wasn't able to freely read peoples mind, now after his confrontation with the black guy [African-American] and the father his power of mind reading has seemed to been unleashed. I really don't think so.
Although thinking a bit further about that. I think the possibilty of him not being bad could be true. Although I don't think I would go as far as saying he is the Xavier. I think it might be more of a middle ground type of thing. Hard to say, cause we don't have much info, but I see what you're saying.
Not sure I agree about the cop though... I think his power was developing itself pretty well. Every time we saw him, it was getting stronger. As with most of them. But the confusing thing is when Claire's dad told the black guy to "Clean him out".... and while he forgot where he was when he got home... he didn't get fully messed up like he did to the quarterback. He still had powers and memories outside of that specific time period.
I dunno... good show though.

TV Guide interview with Tim Kring (show creator) Im pretty sure Micah Sanders is a genius. She refers to him like that a lot. Not that that is a superpower but he is a boy and it may develop into some form of telepathy or mind control.
This show is really developing well and seems to be moving rather quickly now after a slow start. Seems like the writers have made room for a lot more than has been alluded to so far. We are in NY which seems to be where most comic universe's begin or centralize, but i wouldnt be suprised to see a farm boy from kansas show up with some unknown powers. as the show grows, it will hopefully pull in more 'special' characters from all over.
