Fold preflop? lead flop? lead river?

is there any way to find out where we are before the turn without committing our stack?

I think you made your choice on the flop. In any case, once he checks on the turn, I don't see folding. He might have AA or KK here, but it looks more to me like AK. Regardless, if you decided you were ahead on the turn, no point in betting there or on the river since that makes you no more money. Good job in extracting all of his money/sorry about running into AA or KK.

Of course, he probably ended up having A3...so raise the flop and bet the turn, you donk! wink.gif

Yeah, I think the main decision here is the flop. Once he checks behind the turn, I pretty much committed myself to the hand barring an A or K on the river.

I was thinking the same thing on the river, I checked to induce a bluff, as AK or AQ would obviously fold to my bet.

It is a bit of an uncomfortable hand to play, as I really have no idea where I am, and no good way of finding out where I am as the bet sizes are so large in comparison to the stacks.
