Ott and Avery have some skill but they're built in the Ken Linseman/Esa Tikanen/Jarku Ruutu mold. I think the best way to play against players like that is to not say a word to them and just skate away when they want to push and shove.

Yeah, I just saw the Avery hit on (I think) Lucic. What an absolute turd. Avery is probably the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen lace up a pair of skates.

What a great game by the B's. We played with a lot of heart, and showed composure when the "scuds" (whatever that means, I heard the announcer say it) got out of line. It's nice to get a convincing win at home after the last game of our little road trip.

I was just reading up on the Bruins site their week ahead..

We have 4 games in a row against teams with a combined record of 33-10-7... so this is going to be a good test to see what kind of a team we really are.

At home against Buffalo
Then to Chicago
Then back home for Montreal
Then the Rangers.

After that we play the Sabres twice more, and the Habs once more in the next 5 games. Pretty gross.

Big game again tonight from what I saw, I only slept like 3 hours and kept falling asleep during the game. 6-0-1 in the last 7 games though, the Bruins are FOR REAL.

Sleep got me again, I was so excited to watch last night's game, but I passed out after being up for about 23 hours. Looks like Timmy played another awesome game and carried the Bruins to our 4th win in a row, and 7th win of our last 8 games.

Tonight's a huge game against the rival Habs, and the winner will have 2nd place in the East.

Holy Crap, you didn't watch the game! Damn, you missed one helluva showcase of goaltending skills. Habby and Timmy both played great and even though it was 1-1 going into overtime, it was very exciting. Great game by two very hot teams.

Better not fall asleep tonight, should be one hell of a game.

I watched the recap video on bruins.com and looked like both goalies were terrific. I have no idea how the Bruins didn't score on "Habby" in OT with those 2 shots back to back from point blank range. It's a shame I missed the game.

haven't seen any Bruins games this year or none that I can remember anyway so how come Chara isn't getting in on the scoring? I realize he's not a monster but I figured 15 30 from him this year but so far basically zilch.

He started slow last year, I'm still hoping he'll come around. Even if he doesn't on the score sheet though, the Bruins are winning so I can't complain.

It feels soooooo good to finally beat Montreal! We proved during the playoffs that we can compete with them, and tonight we whipped them pretty bad. GO TEAM!

He had 51 points last year, 43 the year before. I think expecting around 40 from him is fair this year. Haven't seen any Bruins games either but maybe he's just been unlucky not to pick up a few more points. I mean if he had 2 more points right now he'd be on pace for about a 46 point season.

He also had surgery in the off season on his shoulder I think? So his shot might not be the greatest right now.

I guess but it seems like the Bruins are getting on the scoresheet quite a bit more this year (based on nothing so someone can make me look even sillier by showing the numbers)

This is dead on, his shot has been very high from the point and not the 100mph rippers we've seen from him. I'm sure the coaches are trying to tell him to get it down, and let things happen but 70% of his point shots have been all high and usually missing the net high.

Christian Ehrhoff was notorious for wild shots that went 100mph

this season he's shortened his backswing and is doing quite awesomely on accuracy

Great game from Manny, I'm sure things have been a little harder on him as Thomas has been spectacular. I think we'll all look at it as a win where it was a complete game, or maybe how their offensive lines just busted out, but early in the game and when the game was close Fernandez was awesome.
