I finally have my laptop back so I have the internet now! I missed you guys.

I just want to say how proud I am of my team, we fought hard all year, showed a lot of integrity through injuries and everyone saying they'd finish last in the conference, and we battled hard against the Habs and almost beat them even after the 13 straight losses to them.

Well done Bruins and I can't wait for next year!

I miss the good old days where guys like Chara,Kobasew,Savard,Thomas and Kessel were part of our everyday conversation..

Bruins sign Stephane Yelle, I don't really get it.

I remember when Yelle came into the league with the Avalanche, he was supposed to be something very special. Turns out his rookie year was his most productive, points wise, I think it was something like 37 points; sounds about right. Yeah it's a little weird the Bruins signed him, guess he's the answer to Metropolit leaving and will probably have the same role.
On other Bruins semi news game six of last years quaterfinals is going to be replayed on NESN tonight, I'll probably end up watching it because that game was so intense and pretty much an instant classic for me. That first Kessel goal was absolute money.

Damn, I don't get NESN, too bad. That game was one of the highlights of my Bruins fan career, and only could have been made better if it was followed up by a game 7 win.

Yelle is awesome. Very likeable.

Yeah I just read a bunch of comments on tsn.ca, seems like most people like this move.

My original thoughts were based solely on his #'s, and if we wanted a veteran for leadership we could have kept Murray or Metro, who would get us more points. Plus I like the young guys on our team, and Yelle coming takes away 1 of our young guy's slots.

But it seems like he's a really hard worker, and will hopefully be a good addition to Boston.

He played his entire NHL career for my two hated teams, but you still have to respect him. Plus he was extremely cheap, and it is for one season.

I have been talking to my one friend who is a diehard Leafs fan (the Serge type), and he's going to take a couple days off work so we can go see the Leafs in Boston on the 23rd of October. We're hopefully going to get front row (tickets are cheaper in Boston), then hopefully the Red Sox will still be in and we can see a playoff game at Fenway. If not, at least we have a fun hockey game to see in a city I've never been to before!

God I must be old cause I remember, players like Orr, and Esposito, Gerry Cheevers, Derek Sanderson who was my backyard neighbour in the falls and of course Grapes.

Ray you will Love Boston it is my fav city in the states, you will have to go to cheers, and Fenway if you get the chance, my fav ball park, been to a few Jays game there. Too bad the hockey game is not a the old gardens, that place was a treasure. Go to the harbour area, and Samuel Adams brewery, JFK Library museum and New England sports Museum.

I'm curious to see if I still have the mag's at home, but I recall some outlets talking like he MIGHT be as good as Crosby when Kessel was only 16. I recall flashier and maybe a better finisher, definetly faster talk.

Im curious to see what he does this year and next, if he starts to put it all together. Never gonna be anything like Crosby (probably never was), but he might become a very good scorer still.

The owner in our league who drafted him was saying he is the American Sidney Crosby...

I give the guy a pass though as he had to deal with cancer and having to play in Boston...

but ya so far a "bust"

Meh, I think him getting benched in the playoffs last year was a real eye opener. He came back and scored a couple goals in game 6. This year he's had another summer to train, I think he's going to have a really good season.

Definately not Sidney-like though, or even close.

I don't think he's a bust. He's like 20 years old and playing in the NHL. Hard to call anyone with those things going for him a bust.

I think (hope) he'll have a small breakout this year. He definetly has the talent, and really showed it at times last year.

You're going to love it, we really do have some awesome fans around here and the experience is a blast. The Garden is pretty much the only place I have the option of seeing Florida play so it's cool seeing two teams I do like.

Nice. Do you know off hand how much official jerseys are in the Garden? Should I order one online or wait til I get there?

They are pretty expensive there, if you can get a cheep jersey online I'd go for it. As far as I remember the customized jerseys that are authentic go for somewhere around $300 and at the Garden the last time I went I saw some for $250, so it is a drop but maybe more than you're willing to spend.

I actually think the regular Bruins jerseys are probably the best in the NHL, fwiw.

I love the Yellow jersey in there. Even as a diehard Bruins fan though I don't think the Bruins have the best jersey in the league. (I have to go check now to see which I like better)

Just looking at last year's, I like Vancouver, San Jose, NYI, LAK all more than the Bruins, and the Sabres is close. The Sharks are probably my favourite jersey.

Eww, hate the Sharks, hate the Canucks (only because of the logo on that jersey), hate NYI, don't mind Kings or Sabres.

I hate the Canucks logo too. I think it's hideous. I actually prefer the old C/rink/stick logo.

It's not the logo's I'm looking at though, I'm looking at the whole colour scheme and stuff of the whole jersey. Logos are a completely different ball game.

No one in Vancouver likes the logo.

The Bruins, Habs and Hawks are my top 3. I also really like the Oilers jerseys, just not the franchise.

I don't like the current Oilers jerseys. I don't get why the arm bands only go half way around. They look like practice jerseys.

The other thing I dislike about the Canucks' jersey is the "Vancouver" text over the logo.

Well speaking of PS, I just wanted to pass along to you all that I've contacted PokerStars, in light of (as opposed to in lieu of, what kind of bonehead would make that kind of mistake?) their recent news that Mats Sundin will be joining their team and donating his winnings to charity, to see if I could set up an interview (via email in all likelihood) with poker legend and hockey superfan Daniel Negreanu. I'd love to get his take on Sundin's role on the site and the current state of affairs in the NHL, especially his hometown Maple Leafs. So keep your fingers crossed!
