Well we made no trades today. As excited as I was to maybe see a goal scorer come to Boston, I'm ok with us doing nothing. We weren't going to win the cup this year anyway, and we still all of our prospects. Two or three years from now could be good!
It is really good just to see Kessel staying, I've never seen anything as cool as when he really gets into full stride and is putting all of his effort into going 100 mph out there.

The Bruins made a move today that baffled everyone on the TSN panel...They placed Kessel off of the NHL roster so that he qualifies for the AHL playoffs...something to that effect..Strange as Milbury and JFJ were baffled by it.

Good game..
Krejci just scored his first real goal to put Boston up 2-0 after 1 against the Sens.

He's day to day, but he didn't practice with the team today. He and Alberts skated at one end while Bergeron skated at the other end apart from the team.

I am sure I said something to that effect, however the Senators are a different story...They were just insanely dominant too early..They will make the playoffs based on their early season play, however they might not last very long if they continue their recent play..

Real good game for Boston, even to start it off lots of bodies crashing into boards and what not. Lots of energy. Kept changing between this and the Washington game, a couple teams (Boston/Washington) that looked energized by today. On one hand Washington made some moves and it gave them some confidence to know that they're really trying to make the playoffs, and make a run at this thing. On the other hand Boston, who Chiarelli gave them a vote of confidence by not screwing up the chemistry, and also telling them so before the game.

Yeah Boston definately isn't as skilled as Ottawa, but we are playing harder and want it more. Gerber has looked terrible, and Thomas has made some huge saves as well. Still lots of time left for a team like Ottawa to come back.

Sounds like a mirror image of Buffalo last year, I had the same feelings about the Sabres in late February, early March because they just weren't playing with any purpose. You play better hockey when you're fighting for your life.

I'm banking on the Pens not gelling tonight with all the media hype around Hossa. They'll be too nervous trying to impress everyone, and have a colossal choke. Boston 5 Pittsburgh 2.

Bruins are making the Pens look BAD so far.
Kessel's shot off the post had to have been the loudest I've heard all season.
Sturm's slapper was pretty wicked, but Conklin should never ever let that go in, bad positioning IMO.
Lots of praise by the two UNH broadcasters on Conks, it is good to see him having a great season, it was a pretty embarrassing after the Edmonton thing. Actually wearing my UNH hockey jersey as I type.
Good first period for Bruins. Thomas made some more timely saves.
Only one forward had more ice time in the first than P.J., it was of course Marc Savard

Pretty typical 1st period for the Pens, they typically are dominated but Conklin has been bailing them out lately. Not tonight tho. We'll see if the Pens can wake up for the 2nd and 3rd.

Bruins really get shi! on here even for doing so well. New England Sports Tonight just had a little rant where they don't care about the Bruins, they didn't care about them months ago and will not care about them for the upcoming month. It's tough to live with the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. I wish the U.S. loved hockey more as a whole.

Another two point night for Marc Savard...no surprise there.
It the Bruins just had one other offensive threat who isn't Chara I think they could have a real shot in the playoffs if Thomas can continue to somehow stop the puck.
