As an owner of Kobasew I am glad he got traded..While Minnesota isnt the ideal place, i am pretty sure he will get top 6 minutes and PP time, he wasnt really getting that in Boston.

I am starting to hate Boston even more now..

Screw them.

Kobasew traded, for some reason:

I think it's pretty clear, Fallstrom and more importantly the 2nd-rounder. This will relieve some pro-rated cap I believe, but has a chance to be financially easing down the line which is important to the B's currently.
serge
Marc Savard gone 4 to 6 weeks.

Looks like no playoffs for Boston this year.

The division is up in the air..

The Leafs and Habs both have major issues so far...I dont think Ottawa is as good as they look and Buffalo not sure on them yet..

coesillian
What do you guys think Wideman is going accomplish this season? How likely is a repeat 50 point season.
mrdannyg
Morris has taken his place on the PP for the timebeing, so it is looking pretty unlikely. With Savard out, and him missing a couple games, even 45 points is a stretch at this point. Consider this an uninformed opinion, but seems like 35-40 is a better estimate.
serge
Ray just because the Bruins are sucky, doesnt mean you dont have to post anymore..

I have nothing good to post about, I hardly even watch hockey anymore. I've watched maybe half of the Bruins games this year, and most of those I was probably more focused on the computer than the game sad.gif

The game has been pretty exciting tonight, gotta love it.

I was gonna say this game. Fun to watch, but could be hard.

The easiest one was clearly the higher/lower one. If you could talk and count at the same time, you would win.
(and yet still many lost in this game)

If your old enough.....Barker Beauty Diane FTW!
troyomac
Pretty epic win today!
mrdannyg
Savard was only one the ice for 28 seconds i nthe first period. What's going on? I'm freaking out!
mrdannyg
Whew, so far just a leg injury. Hopefully not serious.
MapleLeafpoker
this doesnt sound good at all.....

Marc Savard will have an MRI on his right knee on Friday after leaving Thursday’s night’s loss to the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden.

“It’s a knee injury,” said Bruins coach Claude Julien in making the announcement after the game.”The severity of it, we’ll know more once we get the MRI done [Friday].”

Savard, the team’s top play-making center, left after his first shift, 28 seconds into the game, when he fell to the ice, holding his right knee. He had to be helped off the ice by teammates Marco Sturm and Mark Recchi.

He was helped to the dressing room and did not return.

I read that it was a bad fall. I just traded for him in a pool last week. FML.

mrdannyg
Knee problems...does not sound good. This has "surgery" and "extended rehab period" written all over it.

God when will it end????

Seroiusly, it's getting brutal. Bergeron, Ference, and Savard all go down in consecutive games.
SBriand
I know the feeling. We get Cleary and Hank back and then Homer goes down for 4 weeks with a broken foot that was injured during Wednesday's practice.

Partially torn MCL for Savard.

Out 3-4 weeks, no surgery.
mrdannyg
Whew, not too terrible. Will be back in time for the Olympics. Oh...wait...

How is something partially torn? Is it torn or not?

If this team was Picasso this is their blue period.

Bump. Bruins have been looking great the past 4 games. Each game has been a playoff game basically, and even though we lost to TB, we outshot them 50-18.
Also the puck has finally started going in for us! Some tough games coming up, and we're not in yet, but I'm hoping we can keep playing strong and move up out of 8th. GO TEAM!

Also, new avatar for the playoff push!

mrdannyg
Goddamn shit. My opponent in my work pool has Thomas. If Thomas didn't start today, he doesn't meet the goalie minimum, and I win. Now, I'll need an f'ing miracle.
troyomac
Meh, that 1 point we got tonight was huge. Now we just need to win 1 of our last 3 and we're probably in. Come on B's, you're playing well!
troyomac
HUUUUUUGE WIN!!

Not quite guarenteed post season yet, but things are looking good!

troyomac
Bump!

5 game series, home ice advantage, anything can happen. Let's go B's!!!!

Chara is a monster...Vanek being hurt and the B's going home tied definete advantage Bruins
troyomac
Savard skated today for the first time. Not sure if there's any timeline for him to return (should Boston advance), but it's a good sign anyway.
troyomac
BOOOOOOM! What a great game that was too watch. The 3rd period was crazy exciting. Recchi with a BEAUTY hit and pass to set up Bergeron for the game winner, then Rask making all the big saves to hold on for the win! SO FREAKING PUMPED RIGHT NOW!!!
rinswun
highlight of the game was for sure boychuk destroying ellis with a good old fashioned clean hit, best hit in the playoffs this year for sure.

sobotka played a pretty strong game as well, they need to give that kid more opportunity.

More opportunity?! Kid is on the best playing line for the B's, plus with Bergeron and Krejci it's not about just slotting him ahead of these guys.

as a frustrated fantasy owner, i watched him get like 9 minutes a game all year despite the fact that the bruins couldnt score. seemed like it would have made sense to at least give him a run to try and spark some offense.

The Boston Bruins may be the team with the best future in the NHL...
-This year, they make the second round of the playoffs despite not having their best forward in the lineup
-They have a HUGE blue chip stud young goaltender in Tukka Rask, who may be the best goalie in the NHL in 3 years.
-They have a stud defenseman in Chara with a few good years left to go yet
-They have some great young talent in Lucic, Wheeler, Krejci et all...
-They have a legit scorer in Savard
-They have two first round picks this year and two first round picks next year including the second overall this year.

It's a good time to be a Bruins fan... RAY..

Go Bruins...

I am cheering for the B's for more reasons than one..

I think best chance to beat the Pens is the Bruins facing them...

Main reason though is they play at the TD Garden.
