Now most people who read this are going to say cry some more or whatever their choice phrasing is, and obviously if I cared about those responses I wouldn't write this.

Now if you read peopel like sklansky he says that it's about doing the right move if you could see all the cards and as long as you can look back once you know what the opponents cards were and say you did the right moves you are playing good poker, and even if you lost that one hand the number of times you will win playing that way or minimize your losses as the case may be your playing profitable poker. So why on this site have 80% of my all in preflop better hands been busted by crap, I can accept the times it happens and can accept that someone who has a 33 percent chance is going to bust me 1 out of 3 times, but I'm losing to hand less then 30% almost everytime, when is the turn around when the odds are supposed to work for you? majority of these hands I look back and go if I knew that's what he was holding I definetly would have gone all in or called his all in, but it's still not workign out for me, and this is only in the tournaments, luckily I have been making much more in the cash games then I have been losing in the tournaments which is the only reason I'm still here and that I have a bonus almost unlocked.

well like I said I dont' care about any negative things people say but keeping track of something is essentially either a 1 or 0 and figuring out how often one of those numbers comes up is not hard, but enjoy thinking your smart

Tournaments are for suckers, just ask Smasharoo.

NoWorriesXxX,

You are a great player.
You have worse luck than anyone here could comprehend

The odds may not ever even out; but should approach the expected outcomes over the very very long term

Find someone else with "terrible luck" and play heads up with for huge stakes. That way, one of you is guarenteed to break his streak and win big.

And in case you're looking for an opponent, I have "terrible luck."

This is excellent advice. Play against me. One time, a couple weeks ago, I pushed with AK and got called by KQ and lost to the flush. OP should play me. I may have had another bad beat lately, too. I'll check my hand history to see if that is true.

Yeah. Paying attention is over-rated. And decisions based on facts. So is basic grammar.

...look, the odds don't "turn around" and "work in your favor". The probabilities of cards coming up (or dice rolling, or coins landing, or little balls falling into wheel slots, etc) are unaffected by previous results. There is a rather common term for failing to comprehend this - look around for the "Gambler's Fallacy"

Yes, over time the results will smooth out, but you can't ever hope to see that happen if you don't take the time to actually learn what the probabilities actually are and then understand them and their application to the game being played and then act accordingly. This is the difference between a winning gambler and a losing gambler.

I'd say "good luck with that" but, well, I think you'd miss the irony.
