Here's a general scenario that I seem to be having issues with when playing OOP.
Say I'm delt AKos in EP and bet 4xbb, It's only called by one player who has position on me. Flop comes something like 59Q rainbow. I make a c-bet of 2/3 to 3/4 the pot and my opponent just calls. The turn doesn't improve my hand and now I'm faced with a decision to make.
It seems you can fire a second round and hope to take it down, or check and run up the white flag.
Now I realize there are numerous factors when making any decision, but this is one spot that seems to throw me. I'm consider myself somewhat TAG and will almost always fire a c-bet of this size whether I hit or miss the flop. It seems to keep your opponents guessing. Did Money hit or miss, which is it? But what do you do when you miss the flop and turn. Is it standard to concede defeat here?
If this line of questioning is too general let me know and we can let the the thread crash an burn. Thanks in advance for any replies though.
