so for short handed LHE, I always see the number 500 being tossed around to play comfortably, which is something I agree with. Right now I'm almost at 3k playing 3/6 shlhe, when I hit 4k I wanna take a stab at 5/10 (100bbs max).

I've taken a few shots in full ring and feel quite comfortable doing it. Haven't played too many hands short handed tho. Any objections? If I start feeling a lot of doubt then I'll just close the tables and go back to 3/6.

Shots are fine.

Just set a limit, aka 100 bb, as you are doing, and move down accordingly, should things not go well.

If you are WPX aren't you crushing everyone with your rakeback alone? You should be able to move up to 5-10 easily after this month, but if you want to take a shot, like Zach said, 100BB set deal, don't rebuy. Buy in for that amout, and stick to it.

yeah rakeback i make like 8-10bbs per hour i think

Although I don't crush wpx, I've noticed that when I've played at other sites, my play has been above most so the -.34 doesn't bother me at all.

From my experiences at PokerStars, there is a lot more fluctuation in 5/10 games than there is at 3/6.

Take a stab at it.
Don't get in over your head.
Pull back, and recover your losses.
And then try again.

Shots are fine, but make sure you're really beating your current level before moving up. Based on your stats and my experience I'd say you're running really good right now and could very easily hit a pretty bad downswing soon. Your stats look ok for a good player but have a potential for huge swings, so be careful.

i would get in a lot more then just 2500 hands before making any real decisions. Seriously, in short handed, you really needs tons and tons of hands before anything can really be decided

Agreed, 300 BB is plenty when you have a rake back deal and bonus to clear.
