Kordell "I would rather be shooting gay porn" Stewart we supposed to be the savior at one point too.

Speaking of gay porn, we should have got Jeff Garcia in the off season last year. It could have been a band aid, if nothing else. Maybe we could trade tampa for him for like a 5th rounder or something.

I agree. That is actually who I thought we would go get. With the D on this team, Garcia would be enough for a deep playoff run, especially now with Forte and a rebuilt O line.

Even though it was just Detroit, they looked good this week.

Yeah, I don't even want to say what I'm thinking about the passing game, in fear that it will jinx it.

If he does come back, I think it would be for a team that's especially desperate, but I can't see many teams doing that. He's not exactly a guy who will sell tickets anymore.

A team that's especially desperate.

You mean a team like Minnesota? Hell, you could bring back the college style option with Vick/AP tongue.gif

I'll tell you who should get vick.. miami.. they have an Offensive Co-coordinator that would know what to do with him.

I don't see Vick as a Parcells type of guy though.

Lets not start sucking each others dicks just yet, gentlemen... Detroit might historically bad. If it wasn't for STL, they'd be the clear cut worst team in the league.
BigDMcGee
this is the worst fcking season ever. 3 brutal, brutal, gutwrenching losses in the first 6 weeks. Altanta couldn't have just stayed ahead by 9 points... No.. the bears had to lose in the most painful fcking way possible. This season is going to be one, long, hideous torture session.

I can't believe the bears could easily be 6-0. I just can't believe it.

That was a beautiful game.

?

Both baseball teams make the playoffs for the first time in 102 years....

Football team despite giving away 3 losses is still in atleast a tie for first place...

Basketball team has the first pick and hometown kid, Derrick Rose...

And the Hockey team in less then a year has had a bigger resurgence then maybe any other professional team ever.....

Boy you really really wish you could be a part of a fan base of some sort dont you? Its funny

And I was very impressed with Matt Ryan today. He made some pretty spectacular throws.

what a front runner you are. You have a team, it's called the bucks. The fact that you abandoned your hometown/state team to jump on the MJ and bulls bandwagon disgusts me, and shows your moral character.

lol <3

I was Reggie Miller vs. the Knicks & Spike Lee all the way during the 90s. We were one of the biggest, most awesome, most heated, continuous playoff rivalries you could find.

But I will admit, as much as I was a fan of my Pacers, I enjoyed watching Jordan work his magic (except when Pacers/Bulls met in playoffs, then I was the biggest hater in the world for 7 straight games).

Even still today, as tragic as it is to love my Pacers... I still do. But for extra entertainment, I love seeing Lebron drive on the entire Celtics team and jam it down their throat. Or watching Kobe get tackled/punched in the face at the same time and still make a 1-handed behind the back shot from behind the arc.

Bandwagon or not, they have talent and are fun to watch. Except when they're in Indiana... wink.gif

Ironically, I was born in Chicago, though, and even if I don't remember those 5 years after birth, I still feel a bit of legitimate "home-turfness" if the Bulls/Bears/WSox/Blackhawks play... idk... Seattle or something.

**** the Cubs <3

I could have too when the nearest defender is 20 yards away every time.

Was anyone else 78% convinced that the bears were going to blow another double digit fourth quarter lead?

Yep, I was so ready to denounce them for the rest of the season.

Bears + Vikings = Nearly 100 point shootout?!? WTF? Where's the vaulted defense of both teams? Vikings special teams were simply awful.

If there were Bears fans weren't drinking that Kyle Orton Koolaid, I imagine they are now.

Many of the bears points came from the defense. They created alot of turn overs, had some big plays. The bears defense makes big plays, but gives up big plays. they also have an infuriatingly hard time stopping the run, and appear to get gassed late in games, which drives me insane.

I hope/pretty sure you meant stopping the pass.

They're 5th in the league stopping the run.

Oh yeah, Bears have the most points in the league this year. Looooolweeeee!

They are great against the run early in games, late they can't stop anything.

This game was great for me. Bears won, and they let Adrian Peterson get me a lot of fantasy points. Win Win.

Check out this blurb I read on Devin Hester's news on ESPN fantasy football ( sorry, I can't link, it's just like, one of those pop up things...
QUOTE
The Bears may adopt the Dolphins' wildcat formation, with Hester in the Ronnie Brown role, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Spin: The Bears have a bye this week, and offensive coordinator Ron Turner said they will tinker with some things. "We have played around with some of [the wildcat formation]," Turner said. "We actually did some things last year in practice and in training camp this year that we haven't gotten to yet. You have to find ways to get your playmakers the ball. It's something we'll explore as our offense evolves." Hester hasn't broken a big return yet this year, and this could give him a chance to get the ball in some space and give the defense a different look. The Bears play the Lions in Week 9, and they could be the perfect defense for the Bears to feature the wildcat for the first time.

how sweet is that?

Well.. I took a nap this after noon, and when I woke up, the bears were down 23-13 and Rex Grossman was the QB, and I went looking for something to drink. I never, in a million years, thought the bears would win after seeing that half time score and QB status. I won't complain about the games earlier in the season anymore, because this win was a gift. That said, I still hate rex Grossman. Any word from any chicago land bears fans in the know on orton's ankle would be appreciated.

Never count out any team facing the Lions. No lead is insurmountable (sp?) when facing that pathetic excuse for a pro-football team.

ESPN said he's out a month.

Was at the game and the place went dead silent when Ortman didn't get up. Dumbfuck needs to learn how to slide.

Supposedly out 4 weeks with a high ankle sprain.

I dunno...

Titans at home ( a loss probably even with orton, now a lock to be a loss) @ greenbay (we did well against green bay with Rex in the past, but still, a tough game) @ rams ( Winnable) @ vikings ( winnable). If the bears can go 2-2 in those games, they are just fine. I sure would like to have those 3 games they gave away earlier in the year back, however.
