This is usually an auto-three-bet for me, but I practice pretty good game selection (not a brag, I promise) so those raises are usually pretty donkish, e.g. just top pair, or even if they're not donkish, you have top two freaking pair so even if it means an improved two pair, you still beat it.
The only things worrying are sets and a straight. If that card didn't complete a possible OESD with QJ, it would be an easier three-bet. The way it is, you can make an argument for just calling down if the game isn't that wild at all.
Also start making some reads. I know I'm a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to posts, but that's usually only in ring games where I find reads less important overall. In shorthanded games, I tend to have notes on practically every player at each table.
You'd be shocked at how much reads affect my play -- it really means the difference between a +$20 session and a +$200 session, easily. It's one of those things where *repeatedly*, every time I'm killing a session because I'm really focusing in on two or three super-donks while multi-tabling, I keep seeing people capping versus the biggest mouse on earth and repeatedly bluffing the super calling station, etc., and *every single time* I keep thinking "holy hell, imagine how much money these people would be earning/saving if they knew what i knew" and it makes me wonder, "Am I like this, when I don't pay attention??" Every single freaking time, I promise.
