I think I posted this in the wrong place initially:

Let me first preface with this. I have been playing online for about six months. I have developed an ultra-tight aggressive stye. I have become aware that this may be hurting me in the long run (being blinded too much and not getting good hands paid off). I have attempted to loosen up considerably and take more risks here and there. This particular hand seemed to be a good one to get some feedback on and see where my thinking was off. Although I won the pot, I am content that I played this hand poorly. BTW, This has been the best forum I have come across so far, there seems to be gret discussions and far less condescension than some other notable forums. Thank you in advance.

Party Poker Regular NLHE tournament $1.00 buy-in
*Stack sizes are approximated
Me (BB) $12,000
Opponent UTG + 2 $5,000
Blinds 100/200
I was holding (5c 4c)
I had been playing very tight to this point (AA-TT, AK, AQ). Opponent (Not especially tight, no especially loose) made it 600 to go and everyone folded to me. I decided to tke a flop. The board comes down Kc 7h Qc. Being out of position, I bet out 600. Opp. reraised to 1200. After some thought I called, I was thinking that he had a strong hand but was vulnerable and with 1300 + 1200+ 600 = 3100 calling the 600 seemed reasonable (Of course whether one should include their initial bet as a separate part of the pot odds decision I don't know). The turn came a 3d. I checked and Opp. bet out 1200. I figured he was half way invested at ths point but might lay it down if a club came on the river. But the 3 gave me additional outs and I knew if a non-club 6 came he would pay off the hand with the rest of his chips. So i called the turn bet and rivered a 9c. I bet out 300, he called. He showed Kh Qd. So I took down a pot of 6100.
This hand feels like a learning opportunity, is this an appropriate way to play suited connectors and where was my thinking right on/way off?

Better post here and remove results for better discussion.

My opinion (low-limit player who doesn't know nearly as much about the game as many other people here):
The preflop-call is ok, you get slightly better than 2:1 odds and you probably have good implied odds if your opponent has as big a hand as his UTG-raise indicates.

on the flop: There is 1.500 in the pot, you have 4.600 chips left, 600 is not enough, that is a weak bet, and will probably be read as such by your opponent, who can easily have hit the flop hard.
After you made the small bet, he min-raises which makes the pot 3.300 - with 5.5:1 pot odds and a flush draw, folding is not an option. And I don't really like the call either (better than any raise except an all-in though), I think you have to push the 4.000 you have left here into the pot for maximum fold equity. You may not get paid off as much as you'd like if you hit the flush.

turn: pot is 3.900, you have 3.400 left - You made it tough for yourself, by playing incorrectly on the flop, I don't know if I like an open push here, check is probably ok though. After he bets 1.200, you have to push all-in imo.
You get over 4:1 pot odds if you just call, which barely is enough to draw to the flush if you don't think he has a higher flush draw. If you call and fold the river unimproved you put more than half your stack in the pot, I don't like that at all, you'll soon get desperate with your remaining chips as the blinds rise, especially when you are playing very tight. Push all-in!

river: that bet is funny, 300 into a 6.300 pot? You have 2.200 left. You played the hand so weak, that a check-raise all-in might work, probably the best option to get paid off you have here. Anything but an allin-bet would be ridiculous, but that would be in-character with a flush so he might fold if you open push. Maybe he calls if you bet 1.000, but considering the pot size I think that is silly.
