A little background on villian. Has been raising to 3bb's every button (somewhat standard) and I have built my stack up on him by picking off a few of his river bluffs with 2nd pair and the like. He is Laggy and very aggresive and has been betting nearly everytime he has been checked too.

Villian has $180, I have him covered.

Should I even be thinking of folding here?

EDIT: I apologize for being an idiot.

Analysis:

I think its fairly tough here, because you may be chopping, or you could be crushed. With not that much invested, there it seems like a -ev move to call here.

When taking raises from loose opponents, I dont think even gus hansen would advise calling with Q5os from the BB.

I dont need to read the rest of the hand, because it shouldve ended preflop.

dude, this is a Heads Up match.

Not that anything is wrong with folding preflop; I just want to make sure you understand that it's HU.

Easy fold on the river though
He knows you call his bluffs occasionally. He could be setting you up to pay off a bigger hand (this one). Given he raises every preflop and bets when checked to, 3x is possible along with AA/KK. I don't want to fear monsters under the bed, but when you make $190 vs a 9x, Pocket pair or a bluff and $13 vs Qx and lose 160+ vs AA/KK/QQ/99/3x.. I fold. You;'ve already called smaller bluffs, let him "outplay" you here. He's in position and I can't imagine he'd risk this much often enough with hands you beat.

i would likely fold. actuary said a lot of what needed to be said, but consider this. he would have to be pretty damn gutsy to bluff there. you've called 3 bets so far, so he's got to think you at LEAST had ace high.

if he's gonna bluff, he's gonna bet big. but all in? i just think that if he's gonna bluff he's more likely to bet in the range of the size of the pot or a little more, not AI. my guess is that he has 33339, AA333, KK333, or QQ333. its possible that he had JJ or something weird, but i'd probably just give up 11 blinds and keep playing. if he really did bluff there, then you're probably better off waiting for him to do it again when you're more sure of your hand and have less risk of losing your buyin or having a chop raked.

what i mean is, he's more likely to think "if he has a queen and he'll pay off a bet of 30, he'll pay off 164." less likely is "he is willing to fold to 164, but not 40."

also: why no bet/raise from you on the flop? smile.gif

edit: results? PM if you dont want to post them in the thread
