It's really too hard to put him on a hand here without some sort of read on him.
It's possible he had 66, KQ, JT hearts...if he's a bit wild he could have a medium pocket pair and is attempting to push a hand like AQ out of the pot, could even have caught up with 44...he could be on a low flush draw...heck, he could even have AA, KK, or QQ. It really depends on him.
