Yup, ESPN has gone batshit for Hold'em.
Every event aired but one will be NL or PL Hold'em and that is the $10K Pot Limit Omaha event.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/news/story?id=2203310They're not even airing Hellmuth's 10th bracelet victory.

Not new news, but definitely still incredibly disappointing. Not even any limit hold'em, just a bunch of PL and NL. Ugh.

It's a shame that more different games are rarely (if ever) televised. In recent years I've seen maybe a few Omaha and Seven-Card Stud tournaments, but they're disappearing now. I'd kill to see something different instead of always Hold 'em, Hold 'em, Hold 'em.

The Razz event from two or three years ago was one of my favorite telecasts and I don't even play Razz. I'm just echoing the sentiment shared by probably everyone here, more non-Hold 'Em games please.

They arent going to air the H.O.R.S.E. event at all? I suppose they think most viewers cant't follow the game or whatever. That sucks.

But isn't it only the final table that they're airing? Since that is only going to be no limit hold 'em, it doesn't really count as airing a non-hold 'em event.

uh, sorry, but limit/pot limit = BORING television....some of you need to think a little about ratings before doing that ever so original railing of espn which is so hip these days....

Not really that boring at all to poker enthusiasts. And honestly, you think the 2006 Speed Stacking Championship is more compelling than a limit poker tournament with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line?

Uh, this just in...ESPN counts on more than us "enthusiasts" to get ratings for poker....they would like the other 99.5 % of their potential audience to tune in and stay tuned in...that won't happen with limit/pot limit games.....
and don't get off topic please...I am not comparing it to their other programming....just the poker programming they are choosing..they are very smart....deal with it

Who said I wasn't dealing with it? I'm suggesting that a limit/PL event with lots of money on the line is more compelling/engaging/ratings-grabbing than a lot of the other random stuff they show.

I'm not even sure if they should even show the H.O.R.S.E. tournament. I think most casual fans would be lost watching it.

They're showing the final table of that event...which will be NLHE.
