Bodog 8/16 LHE (6-handed)

Cobalt is BB w/ A K . SB is an overaggressive monkey with a VPIP of ~98%. He raises/3-bets/caps almost every pot pre-flop. I've been 3-betting him almost every time I've decided to play a pot. He does show some post-flop restraint, but he's still prone to bluff on later streets when shown weakness. The table's playing fairly loose. CO is a bit loose with a penchant for bluffing in position...several times with total air. Button is fairly solid.

Pre-flop:
2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB raises, Cobalt 3-bets, CO calls, 1 fold, SB calls

Flop (10 SB): 6 K T (3 players)
SB checks, Cobalt bets, CO calls, 1 fold

Turn (6 BB): 6 (2 players)
Cobalt bets, CO raises, Cobalt 3-bets, CO caps, Cobalt calls

River (14 BB): Q (2 players)
Cobalt checks, CO bets, Cobalt calls

Final Pot: 16 BB

I might be in the minority here when other reply to this post, but I like the line on all streets.

Preflop you have a hand that is gonna win more than 50% of the time against SB, and you have both position and the betting lead. This raise will almost always make button fold given your read and CO will fold alot too.

On the turn when you are raised it seems unlikely that your opponents hand is very strong as he would likely raise preflop with KK, TT, 66, KT, AK, KQ, or KJ or fold the hands which contain a 6 and given your read on him he may have complete trash and fold.

On ther river after the turn cap it seems unlikely you have the best hand here, unless he has shown the propesity to try to make huge bluffs, but getting 15-1 I would call too.

i've been in a very similiar situation before and more times than not your beat, i remember telling myself after i called down after being capped on turn w/ only TP that im going to fold when im know im beat. im sure you had a sickening sensation once villian capped the turn! bla!

The 2nd time i've been in this situation i pushed my ego out the door, odds as well and listened to my intuition that im beat!

I would fold on turn once villian capped.

Villain had KK in this spot. I thought it was extremely unusual the way he played it. I can't tell if it was a good or bad line on his part. On the turn, I was certainly initially convinced that he couldn't have KK...which won him more bets.
