Anyone a regular here? I just spent this last weekend here and find it to have one of the nicest 1/2 NL games near Texas. I've played in Lake Charles, LA, Shreveport, LA, Winstar in OK, and I think the Choctaw is the best of all three locales.

I just wanted to know if any FCPers where regulars, I may be making my way up there again soon.

I play quite a bit at the cherokee casino in tulsa, give me a shout if you ever come up this way, 1/2 nl games are pretty soft for the most part, just don't eat at the buffet, it's way overpriced and the food just isn't very good.

Yeah i played a 32 hour session this weekend in Durant and didnt eat until the last hour of my session. I always get tired when I eat, if Im going to play that long of a session its better to just juice up on mountain dew and red bull. I did have a very tasty Turkey Burger though. It was a good trip and the softest NL game Ive played since the Mirage last year. Cashed out $1120 in a 1/2 NL game. Not too shabby.

OMG! I HATE that song, lol

Scotty Nguyen is the pro poker rep here. He's actually at the casino quite a bit.

Now sing the song and think of Scotty on a big OCC Indian theme bike.
after you get up off the floor from laughing so hard
Think of DN in the Scotty costume on the bike singing Indian Outlaw.

I'mma Innian outlaaa baby.......

i was up there at about this time last year (durant)...unfortunately they didnt have the poker room up yet or else i would have played.but i do frequent winstar quite a bit, considering i live 35 minutes away from there. if it is that much better, is it worth the extra 45 minutes to get there?

I would say so for sure. The game is MUCH softer and the poker room is much nicer. I like the chips better too...but thats neither here nor there. The staff is VERY attentive as well and they have some of the best looking waitresses Ive seen ANYWHERE. Great room. Id drive if it was only 45 more minutes. The best western in Durant is a great place to stay for only 70$ a night.
