Fraizer Campbell has been spoken about as a makeweight, which surprised me when I first read it. Ferguson's spoken so highly about him and he's young. Look how well he did on loan at Hull... so I don't understand the logic of going for an over-rated, over-paid, over-moody, overly high transfer fee, getting old (28), Berbatov... and consigning Campbell away as a bit-part in the transfer. I've heard bad things about Berbatov's effect on team moral, and we've already got Ronaldo doing that.
If it was me, I'd keep Campbell, keep potential problems away, and keep the money for another day.
But, it's not me, and it looks like we've signed him. Have to wait for the details to emerge, but I hope we kept Campbell.
I would've liked to have kept campbell as he adds a completely different dimension that we haven't had since Cole, and that is a real speed guy at striker. But, I think this loan is a very good one as he'll get a lot of playing time for spurs and he'll be back with us next season. I've been very excited about him for the past two seasons or so. I think with Him, fergie is already planning on a Tevez/Campbell partnership with Rooney taking over scholes' role when scholes retires(which quite frankly is Rooney's natural position)

Meh... **** that.
We havn't got into our stride this season yet.. It's like we're waiting for Ronaldo to come back or something.
To be fair, Liverpool, for the first time in years against us looked the better side, they looked hungrier, more focused and stronger. If I was a Liverpool fan, this match would have just raised my expectations for this season quite a lot. For us, we've got a lot to work on... that's for sure.
also to be honest, Brown and VDS played like complete shit. very uninspired performance for us today, I think a draw would've been the fair result, but shit happens. We started slow last season, so I don't doubt that we'll start hitting our stride once the Champions League starts

united just dont look like the same team without ronaldo and didnt last season. as i said in my preseason preview, if they are within 5 points by the time he comes back then they'll win the league, if not then they'll likely have to settle for second. liverpool are underrated, even without gerrard and torres for the majority they matched united.
Its a different team for sure, but its just too hard to say what the problem is. I know people are accusing us of being a 1 man squad, but this was also tevez's first match back too. we'll play better before Ronaldo gets back, I'm sure of that
