I know money talks but for crying out loud? Leaving Madrid for Man City????? Robinho obviously has no ambition, or got his Manchester teams mixed up. Imagine he turned up at training as was like "Oh, when is Cristiano getting here?"

lol, had to quote this again. Wrong team, but you were spot on with the idea...

Today, Robinho said: "On the last day, Chelsea made me a great proposal and I accepted it," he said, to which a reporter replied: "You mean Manchester right?". "Yeah, Manchester, sorry!" answered Robinho.

At least its going to be interesting at Man City for a while. Apparently they want to buy Ronaldo, Torres and Fabregas in the next transfer window.
James D
So perfect that Man City are playing Chelsea tomorrow.. Let's see how out of place and lost Robinho looks!

Some of the chants between the two sets of fans should be entertaining too.. I want the camera to cut to Abramovich's face when they're singing about how much money they've got, lol!

Here's a new Man City chant, to the tune of Only Fools and Horses:

You can stick a Messi in our back pocket
I'll fetch a Kaka from the van
Cause if you want the best un's
but you ask no questions
Then brother, Al-Fahim is your man
From where it all comes from is a mystery
Is it the oil fields or Dubai property?
But here's the one thats driving me beserk
Will we finally end 34 years of hurt
SlapStick
Man city have wright-phillips,elano,ireland,johnson,petrov,dunne ,richards and robinho. Some good players there already.

Probably not, this is still Manchester City after all.

We havn't got into our stride this season yet.. It's like we're waiting for Ronaldo to come back or something.

To be fair, Liverpool, for the first time in years against us looked the better side, they looked hungrier, more focused and stronger. If I was a Liverpool fan, this match would have just raised my expectations for this season quite a lot. For us, we've got a lot to work on... that's for sure.

united just dont look like the same team without ronaldo and didnt last season. as i said in my preseason preview, if they are within 5 points by the time he comes back then they'll win the league, if not then they'll likely have to settle for second. liverpool are underrated, even without gerrard and torres for the majority they matched united.

Lets not get too excited, have you watched any of Liverpools other games this season? Some of the most depressing 1hourr and 30 mins of my life.

They stepped it up and looked really good today. I just wish Keane could start getting it in the net, he has the quality, just needs a run.

they went to villa with the intention of getting a point and stiffling them away from home, it was so obvious from the way they played. imo villa are a top 6 side so a point away there is a good result. if you beat the 'bad' teams when you arnt playing well, get a point away against the top 7 and beat the top 4 teams at home, you are generally gonna be in amongst it at the end of the year. that is exactly what liverpool have done thus far. you cant expect a team to play like brazil circa 1970 every game.

Fraizer Campbell has been spoken about as a makeweight, which surprised me when I first read it. Ferguson's spoken so highly about him and he's young. Look how well he did on loan at Hull... so I don't understand the logic of going for an over-rated, over-paid, over-moody, overly high transfer fee, getting old (28), Berbatov... and consigning Campbell away as a bit-part in the transfer. I've heard bad things about Berbatov's effect on team moral, and we've already got Ronaldo doing that.

If it was me, I'd keep Campbell, keep potential problems away, and keep the money for another day.

But, it's not me, and it looks like we've signed him. Have to wait for the details to emerge, but I hope we kept Campbell.

I would've liked to have kept campbell as he adds a completely different dimension that we haven't had since Cole, and that is a real speed guy at striker. But, I think this loan is a very good one as he'll get a lot of playing time for spurs and he'll be back with us next season. I've been very excited about him for the past two seasons or so. I think with Him, fergie is already planning on a Tevez/Campbell partnership with Rooney taking over scholes' role when scholes retires(which quite frankly is Rooney's natural position)

also to be honest, Brown and VDS played like complete shit. very uninspired performance for us today, I think a draw would've been the fair result, but shit happens. We started slow last season, so I don't doubt that we'll start hitting our stride once the Champions League starts

Its a different team for sure, but its just too hard to say what the problem is. I know people are accusing us of being a 1 man squad, but this was also tevez's first match back too. we'll play better before Ronaldo gets back, I'm sure of that

Paging James D...

You're keeping very quiet. I thought a prediction would be in for the Chelsea game this weekend. Not confident?

I wouldn't be. 2-0 Chelsea.

biggest factor in this game could be vidic's suspension, as far as i know fergie is thinking of playing johnny evans in there which would really put the pressure on the youngster. i think chelsea will edge it by the odd goal in 3 but it should be a good one. i cant see chelsea's home run ending here.

2-1 chelsea.

here's a question: is this the weekend robbie keane finally opens his liverpool account?

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and welcome aboard this 'Don't Believe The Hype Airways' flight. Your pilot today is LJB723... icon_cool.gif

Just pulling your leg mate.. seriously though, it may sound strange but this match has come at a perfect time for us. We need a match like this to kick start our season, I'd be more worried about us not getting into our stride if we were away at Portsmouth or something. We now have Ronaldo back for real (couldn't resist the pun there), and basically have a completely full strength side to choose from, apart from Vidic and Carrick, for the first time.

We regularly get ourselves into positions like this early, but also rarely fail when the true tests come. Liverpool was a setback, but I'd be staggared if we lost this one. Chelsea have not lost a game at home since 2004 or something like that... but I really think we'll win. I'm that confident... because we have to. At the very least, it's a draw.

I do still think Chelsea will edge the title this year, by about a 3-6 point margin, but they're not ready for what they're about to encounter tomorrow.

And rinswun, depending on Ferguson's opinion on how fit Neville is, I'd expect Wes Brown moving to Centre Back, and Neville on the right. Fergie will, 95% of the time, opt for experience in a match like this.

Chelsea 1 - 2 Man Utd (or at least 1-1)
Poppy Hillis
Theo Walcott is amazing.

I have a feeling that when Chelsea finally get beat at home its going to an absolute pasting.3 or 4 nil, something good. I don't think today is that day though. 1-1
James D
No Deco! Injured in the warm-up... looooool.

But Ronaldo starts on the bench. Obv not as fit as Fergie made out, damn.

KDawgCometh
1-1, meh. At least Anelka's finishing was about as good as those playing for luton. I didn't like how we just decided to sit back and defend, and I really want to know wtf rooney was thinking on that tackle that set up the free kick that Kalou put in. berbatov looked lost the entire match too, a very hohum performance today. We'll start ratcheting it up soon I hope

I'm surprised you aren't gushing about Berbatov's outrageous bit of skill for Ronaldo's 2nd goal. In the words of every poker player - sick!

And Bentley's goal could have been dealt with better by Almunia. Great vision from the boy though. A lot of good goals last night. Lampard's chip was nice too.
