..As some of you probably know, I've always looked at set over set situations like, overhead. They just happen, you suck it up, and move on.

And then..my second orbit, at this table..not the same 2/5 table as the other thread, so hold none of those same notions about table image; I have played one hand, and felted a smallish stacked JJ with QQ on a 9 high flop, only hand I've shown, or played.

2/5 NL, 200 min/max, ten handed.

Hero (button) has 320 or so
Hijack has 1k or thereabouts
UTG+2 has 200, give or take 10
MP+2 has us covered, in the 500 neighborhood.

Hero has 5s5c.

UTG+2 makes it 20, MP+2 calls, Hijack calls, Hero calls, ALL others fold.

Pot 85ish - rake
Flop; A icon_suit_heart.gif K icon_suit_club.gif 5 icon_suit_heart.gif

Everyone checks to your hero on the button, who promptly bets 60, UTG+2 folds, MP+2 raises to 200, Hijack pushes all in for 1o 85u240985209135 dollars, Hero?

I have to fold, right?

It might be a squeeze play, but, Hijack seems pretty competent, and MP+2 is committed. Did I get lucky and just run into two AK's? Or is someone overplaying AQ?

I have to fold this, no? Big raise and a push? and I've got 250 or so behind?

You cant consider folding here. UTG was intial raiser, he;s out. Now you got 2 cold callers preflop, raising and reraising here. 1 might have AK, and one has Kxh. But def I never fold here. Ever, ever.

that's sorta the key here IMO. I don't think you can fold this just unless the UTG raiser C/red you. Here you're probably ahead and having to dodge a decent amount of cards, but I still think this is a call.

You're better than half against AK and KhJh.

Your stack will be about $1050 if you win.

Only thing that should give you pause is that the turn/river have to pair to make you the best boat.

Call.

The word under my name.

<----

If one of those guys cold called 20 pf w AA/KK, ewps...ship it, otherwise we are up against AK and maybe QhJh or something around those ranges.

What everyone else in the thread said. No way I put these guys on AA or KK given the action. Neither raised PF, and hijack at least you'd think would have bet with a set after two checks on the flop. If I were to guess, I'd say MP has AK and hijack has a big draw.

Ofcourse I didn't fold this.

If the board is say, T95, then do we consider folding? TT and 99 are much more likely, no?

I'm not nearly good enough to fold a set...

If the board is rainbow then I consider it. Consider, yes. Actually lay it, not sure. I can count the number of times I have laid down a flopped concealed set on my hands, and usually it was because board was coordinated heavily.

Looks like AK protecting against the flush draw to me, I call
