I have to say... while no one can compare with Madden and Michaels... I'm really going to enjoy these guys... I thought they did great in the Vikings - Raiders game.

Tony Kornheiser is definately +EV.

I really like Kornheiser - he seemed a little lost today, like some of his jokes/references missed the mark, and his timing was a bit off.

I think he will be excellent though. I didn't know the other guys, but thought they did a very good job.

Tony just needs to get the hang of it.

I've always liked watching him on PTI.

Madden is terrible. The MNF crew is on the same level as Aikman and Buck, if not better. Kornheiser's a spectacular addition. I now look forward to watching the MNF games.

I concur Madden sucks, he has a whole collection of Maddenisms such as "You know...the team that scores the most points in the first and second half combined are gonna win this football game!"

If you think Tony is good for MNF, MNF has been good for Tony. Like Madden, he won't fly a plane, and he used to never actually attend any games while covering the local teams in Washington. He'd also go to bed every night at 11pm. Now he's staying up later, taking a "luxury" bus around the country, and he even went to see a baseball game at St. Louis yesterday. His first baseball stadium he's been to in almost twenty years. I worked at the PTI studio last summer, and Mr. K actually was a very sour guy who would leave the set immediately after the show ended, unlike Wilbon who was very chatty and likeable. Let's just say Wilbon was more like Theo Hucstable on that show with Jason Alexander than Jason was like Tony. I think this MNF gig has been good for him and his real life self is starting to lighten up. His writing has always been great tho, and I look forward to his comments on MNF throughout the season.

TK will need to find his MNF niche. It'll take time, but I fully expect him to him to be extremely entertaining as he's always been.

His "sourness", Gilbertology, is a lot of what makes him funny. Most of his wit is founded on his complaint for anything and everything...life in general pisses him off.

My mornings are definitely less entertaining these days without him on the radio. That's his best medium. (just look at him...lol)

Theisman... F'ing know it all. He thinks he is so smart. They should of tossed him its almost unbearable listening to him analyze everything. Mike Torurico (or however the hell you spell it) is ok. He's just an average play by play guy nothing special.

And Kornheiser... I'm not sure what to think yet. It's highly annoying having 3 announcers. It seems like Torico just does play by play, and Theisman and Kornheiser seem like they are just on another Pardon the Interruption. So Kornheiser definitely knows what he's talking about, but he talks about football stuff that doesn't half to do with the game going on. I know that is normal in preseason, I hope he doesn't announce like this in the regular season. So far he's not bad, but I don't think he is that good, but I'm willing to wait until the regular season to make a fair judgement.

I haven't watched MNF yet...well I did watch the Bengals/Packers game a bit but I was in a live MTT and the sound was off. Are the regular announcers the same ones that did the ESPN Sunday night games? Because who ever did the play by play for those games is by far the best play by play guy of any network (if Jim Nantz did NFL play by play, he would win, I'd go gay for his voice). He just has the voice for football, if that makes any sense. I suppose I'll see a MNF game eventually, but I was just wondering.
