Hard to really reply to this until I have the suits of the cards of the opponent (if there were possible flush draws he was shooting for). And of course it'd be good to know the mucked door cards as well.

I meant that to mean that he never looked liek he was drawing at a flush here. Both of us had a bunch of alternating suits. I remember specifically thinking that he couldn't be drawin at a flush and couldn't put me as drawing at one either. As for the dead cards, I mean it sucks that I don't know them, then only thing I did remember thinking was that some one had tossed a jack because I knew they were dead.

Any thing else or could the door cards really make that much of a difference here?

I think that you have to call down, I can't imagine he thinks his two pair is good. But I still call down and he shows three jacks.

I just found this so bizarre that he bet into me herI hae. I'm faily sure he thought I had aces up here.

Especially with you having a jack hidden, it makes it unlikely enough that he has a third jack that you have to call down here. He's probably got trips over half the time, but you'll see a bluff or a misplayed two pair enough to make calling better than folding.

Yeah, Iggy. I like seeing more posters going through mult. strat sections.

The hand was so goofy that I folded as I couldnt' think he thought his two pair was good. this wsa the first hand to get reraised on 3rd in 2 hours of play so he was sure to give me credit for an ace. The reason that I was especially concerned w/ this hand was the conversation that occurred after along the lines of.....

"How do u reraise me w/o an ace?"
"I didn't"
"Get the f out of here you folded aces up."
Shrug
"If you folded aces up there all the time, you're gonna get run over."

So i'm pretty sure I folded against a made full house. Most likely rolled up queens. I think he mis played this in thinking that when he paired I would slow up.... he really should have gone for a C/R on one of these streets. his lead was just stupid. But I'm still concerned that folding here would have deeper implications that people are going to try to run more bluffs on me.

I was looking over the Stud forum the other day just trying to get back into the right mode in preparation for a big home game where half of the play would be Stud and Stud8. After running that over, I'm definitely thinking about getting back into Stud on a regular basis. I think that playing more games more often would definitely help my regular NLHE game, just by keeping me from getting bored and playing sloppy.

As for your image concerns, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you think people are more likely to bluff, then just call down more for a few hands, and you'll be able to gain equity rather than lose it. There was a quote I liked somewhere that a good player pays attention to his image and reacts to it rather than trying to shape it. Just play your hands to the best of your ability, and take the image as it comes.

I still think the aces up fold is a little weak though. Especially in a live setting where people are likely to get bored and play crazy or just not be that good to begin with. If you really had a good read that your opponent was a strong tight-solid player though, it might be good. Sometimes, you get a really good read and you just have to go with it.

I've had a big problem in LHE folding when others say it's a call down. I don't think i've had the problem as much in stud, but i follow the more conventional wisdom of usually calling down from 6th on. I probably wouldn't have folded 7th, but I wasn't sure whether the fold on 6th was good or just way too tight.
