HangukMiguk

I got a little caught off guard on this play. Jimbo has a vp$ip of 50%, a 5% 3rd street raise, and a .39 Aggression factor over a range of 20 hands. Needless to say, very little info on him. Should I have 3-bet him?

well I'll just start off by commenting on how you did play it, your line on 4th is standard to try and get someone to fold when you know you're roughtly even odds wise with the other 2 assuming dlb has 2 unpaired low cards so maybe your bet will make someone fold. I dont like your bet on 5th, both of them calling on 4th should tell you they each have 3 to a solid low, and it looks like they both caught good cards on 5th while you didnt. Your bet might make one of them fold if he paired up on 5th, but the odds of it making both of them fold are very slim. The pot is getting pretty big to the point where even if they miss on 6th street they probably have to call and chase to 7th (where they will inevitably call 7th even if they miss again and end up with a pretty weak hand) so you will have to hit runner runner more than likely to win this pot. I would have just given up the hand on 5th street and hope they give you a free card and if they dont then just check fold.
ok, now on to 3rd street, whenever someone limp raises in a spot like that with a bunch of mediocre to weak cards and 1 low card behind him its a sign of immense strength because he wanted to get people to limp in or you to raise since it looks like you have nothing to be afraid of (the range of hands for you to have in that spot is very big, you could have a far worse hand than you actually did). I would definitely not 3 bet in this spot. Even though you might drive the 3rd man out if he does in fact have a monster you'll end up paying a 4th bet and be a decent dog going to 4th. Calling disguises the fact that you actually do have a pretty good hand. He's going to bet out on 4th almost no matter what if he gets the chance, so depending on what you catch you can make your decision here as to your chances to win the hand, and you can get out of it losing only 2 bets if you catch bad, wheras if you 3 bet it on 3rd you would probably end up losing 4 bets if you have to fold.
