Full Version: Bluff Attempt Turns Ugly?

Ok, a hand from a weekly tournament I play in. I know the people who play it well enough that I can make good reads. In any case, Villain is a LAG, but can lay down a hand if they think they are beat. My plan was to call the flop bet and push the turn.

The table is six handed. I erased the other players names to shorten the HH.

I think you might be beat when he raises back on the turn but 1/2 your stack is in there already so I would go for it at that point.

I think that the C/R on the turn is fine and I'd just hope he has an overpair or a Q - if he has 33 or a better 10, oh well.

Why is this titled "bluff attempt turns ugly?" - unless villian was the bluffing all the way.

I dont think the stacks are deep enough to be playing LAG/small ball here to start with. Either raise to steal or get out.

I would wind up putting her on Ad, Kd or Jd plus the Qd, and played it pretty much the same way.
