Is it a rule on ESPN to not show anything that says .com on it when it's affiliated with a Poker room?

The reason I say this is because if you notice on DN's hat, he has a piece of tape stickied on the side of the FullContactPoker.com part.

Just curious if anyone knew anything about this.

Hopefully this post makes sense, I'm running on fumes after work twelve straight 16 hour days.

Yes...I guess ESPN(and most Networks) has a rule to not advertise gambling. The .com sites play for real money...so no .com logos.

Dumb...I know. glare.gif Why is the greatest, most free nation in the world so damn bunchy about crap like that?

Think of the children!

Imagine if you advertised gambling during a televised poker tournament. Kiddies might see an ad for gambling while they watch the innocent non-gambling happening in the poker tournament.

If you notice, the promotional shirts and hats you see during the TV coverage are always for the .net, free play "poker school" versions of the sites. It's strange that FCP didn't put fullcontactpoker.net on their stuff.

i took part in the apparel bonus promotion and all of the gear i got was .net. it has nothing to do with ESPN. it is illegal to advertise a gambling site in the US.

Maybe we're not as great and free as we would like to be.

That's like trying to spell out words around children you don't want to them to "hear."
