I pick up Q icon_suit_club.gif Q icon_suit_spade.gif in the small blind.

Folds to player (who I read as tight) in MP who raises to $15.

Folds to me and I call from the SB.
BB also calls.

Flop comes 2,4,5 rainbow.

I check, BB checks, MP now makes it $20.
I check raise to $50 total.
BB folds, then MP raises me $90 more.

???????

Push. Get pissed if he turns over KK or AA, be happy when he turns over overpair to the board.

that is (of course) exactly my thinking and why we need to know how much we have.

No offence to the OP intended, but I have a hard time understanding these threads. Instead of being able to say how to play a hand or putting a range on some one like some other threads, you're basically asking the people in the forum to make a preflop read of a player you in fact were at the table w/. Almost any advince here is meaningless.

No. I have a read on this player. He raised exactly zero hands up until this point playing with him for about 45 minutes and has played hardley any hands. That is why in the OP I said I have a read on him as being tight.

What I'm asking is how willing you are to shove all your chips in with one pair to a guy who is showing a lot of strength and didn't even hesitate re-raising my check-raise on the flop.

I had approximately $220 left behind me. I hadn't counted up all my white chips in a couple of hands so I don't know down to the penny. The other player had me covered and had a couple hundred more behind that.

I just meant that... he's tight... can mean a ton of different things. I guy who's 20/10 is tight and a guy who's 15/1 is tight, but it's gonna mean different things. The way you make the guy sound it's an easy fold tho.
