I know that there's a lot of friendly rivalry going on right now, and this coming week's matches are really important for how the playoffs will shape up, but I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who's participated and organised this first season.

I know that I've enjoyed every minute of it. I got to know my teammates much better, I got to watch DN play heads up and try to soak up what it is that he does, I've made a lot of progress in my own headsup skills (obviously nothing compared to some of the greats, but it was the area of my game that I felt needed the most work).

Sleuthis also deserves a shout-out, since I can only imagine how much effort he puts into organising this whole thing. Yet somehow if we have questions or concerns, he gets back to us right away. Sleuthis for MVP.

Anyway, I was just in a feel-good mode. I really think that this first season has been awesome, and however it all ends up, I'm really glad that my team snagged a spot. It's been great, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the playoffs will bring.

i echo pretty much all of this. although we just dropped out of the playoffs, playing a bunch of 10 dollar sngs against more than competent players was worth the money on its own. everyone was more than cordial, and the recap discussions were often very interesting to read. an excellent job to darrell, DN, and especially, balloon guy and his informant.

the only thing missing was my ability to win with aces, overpairs, and 2p, and i and my curse take full responsibility for those shortcomings.

but that said, i will stab my eyes out if the divisions don't get reshuffled next time around.

Seconded.

Also second therrinn's statements. I know it has to be stressful for Darrell at times, but this league has been very well run, and I look forward to the playoffs.

Completely agree with everything said above (except the reshuffling divisions). I believe I was the last team to get a spot by member voting and for that I'm grateful. Now onto the business...

Obviously on the surface I'm going to look biased, but I'm trying not to be. I strongly believe that divisions should stay the same, just like the NFL. I think there are already rivalries in the Bobby Baldwin division that will grow stronger this week and seep into next year. Also, the teams won't all be the same. Inevitably, we will probably lose some to defaults or lack of funds. Also, as I've already said, I'm going to add another teammate to my team next season to take a little pressure off. (It's difficult playing every week, especially after a couple of tough losses). Finally, I think if we played this season 10 times, at least a few of those times, it would be the other way around. I think the talent is so deep in this league that divisions aren't that important.

Oh yeah, thanks to Seuthis for all his hard work. I'm sure he will be working overtime this weekend.

I'd also like to thank everyone involved for making this a great league. Sleuthis did an amazing job of running it. I know it was a lot of hard work and hard decisions for him, but he came through great. I hear that there will be an opening in the NFL for a commisioner. I think Sleuthis would get a lot of support if he tried to go for that one.

I feel like a made a lot of good friends in this league, even though I have never met any of you. Let me know if you guys are coming to LA or live here and want to get together, and we will meet up at one (or all) of our great cardrooms here.

As much of a pain in the ass I have been with my defaults, I appreciate all the hard work that went into making this league possible. Some things happen and if I play again (if allowed) it definately will not be without a teammate.

Good luck to all the playoff teams.

Great Job sleuthis. If you're ever in Bloomington, IN shots are on me.

Sleuthis has done nothing less than a remarkable job...

I would also like to echo much of what has been said here.

Although I would not like to have the divisions re-shuffled.

all im going to say is DN picked the right guy to run this league...Darrell is doing an amazing job.

i want to thank DN fort creating this league, Darrell for running it so well and FCP for the added money.
GoStags92
The league has been awesome, and I sincerely look forward to both watching and playing matches each Sunday. Having it run this well because of Sleuthis' efforts, the players in the league, and the added incentive DN and FCP have added only make it that much better!

Excellent work!
