No. Your OOP, HU with a very weak holding.

Nobody calls $2 in a $5.75 pot (pot odds right with type of hand I got) with only one opponent?
JSHamm
Actually, I might call it even though you're OOP which blows. He surely at least has two high cards giving you some live cards plus straight and flush potentials. Meh, it could be a leak in my game but I would probably call and see a flop. a lot of potential especially if he has a high pair.

If I don't flop big, easy to get away from. If I flop big -- get labeled as crazy, get paid off on real premium hands later.

What about when you flop top pair? what about when you flop two pair and he has AK? What about all the times you don't improve? The reraise he's made here has diminished your implied odds and I think you will need to have to be paid off maybe 90% of the time (just off the top of my head) when you flop big in order to justify the call. I think it's a leak. A leak by definition is something that does not necessarily seem wrong in the short term by will cost money in the long term. I think this is one of them, but honestly not something that will cost you more than a 1/2 a BB/100

Maybe in terms of how hands like these play out *within* themselves this is slightly -EV. But what about meta-game effects? A hand like this opens up your perceived non-limped preflop hand selection to such a degree that it becomes a lot harder for villains at the table to define their hands against you preflop.

That really depends tho. You need to get to showdown for that. If the flop comes xxx under 10, and you fold, well it just looks like you whiffed w/ two big cards.

Playing shed, I really don't need this because I'm raising so many hands that this preflop hand would be one of my better holdings and people usually know it. So it's also going to depend on the hero. If hero's generally tight than sure i think it's ok for that purpose and maybe could be good at a full ring game for tha tpurpose as well.

I want deeper stacks for that, I'm looking to flop a straight and he can't get away from his KK for his stack, you are about a 4 to 1 dog against an over pair, so if you can get paid more than that if you hit, then go for it

I really only play 6 max and this is an auto call for me most of the time

I'll do it any day!! you getting almost 3-1 on your money... I'm hoping he has a big pair i can crack!! if you were ify about the hand.. you shouldn't have rasied with it.......
petersun
I don't mind the occassional raise to mix it up, but I fold to the reraise.

But since most folks have this leak, why not reraise all in wink.gif You have one of the strongest hands against a high pocket pair.

I'd probably prefer

1. fold
2. reraise
3. call

Imagine the metagame implications if you crak his high pocket pair with this!

I'm sorry, this is probably pretty basic, but could someone please explain in more detail what is meant by "meta-game"..I have heard it quite often around her but dont really understand it..Thanks
