Seat 3: Button ($59 in chips)
Seat 4: SB ($19.85 in chips)
Seat 5: Hero ($298.55 in chips) (BB) [ JC,10D ]
Seat 8: MP ($117.65 in chips)

(stacks are important for this hand, going to give my insight in to hand and you can decide whether the play has any merit)

ANTES/BLINDS
SB posts blind ($1), Hero posts blind ($2).

PRE-FLOP
MP calls $2, Button calls $2, SB calls $1, Hero checks.

FLOP [board cards 9S,KC,QC ]
SB checks, Hero bets $2, MP bets $4, Button folds, SB calls $4, Hero calls $2.

Gotta love flopping the nuts, didn't 3 bet because I was setting up the play on the turn

TURN [board cards 9S,KC,QC,6D ]
SB bets $4, Hero calls $4, MP folds.

SB had so few chips at this point I knew he was going all-in no matter what hit on the river, and I was really hoping to get another raise out of MP so I could 3 bet it.

Is it better just to raise the flop and turn and take away some of the odds for the club draw in case thats what MP has?

RIVER [board cards 9S,KC,QC,6D,4H ]
SB bets $4, Hero bets $8, SB bets $5.85 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.85.

Kind of an afterthought with the nuts.

please 3 bet the flop.
You have SB trapped in there as well.
You could easily get 4 more small bets in there.

Also, if you were looknig to c/r a MP bet on the turn, that is too risky, given the chance he is raising for a free card.

Play straights fast, especially on scary boards with multiple oppoents.

ps. Not raisng the turn is mind blowingly gay.

pps: last warning on not converted. Put in Pot sizes. biggrin.gif

Thats your set up? Calling Turn? Did you happen to notice there was a flush draw on board? I raise the Turn, make the other player that is involved cost him/her extra bets to chase or call w/ TPTK or possibly even 2 Pair. Most players freeze up on the river thus losing out on extra bets. By playing it "cute" rolleyes.gif

Jst my 2 cents wink.gif GL 2 U
