I would cap the flop, call down if he leads the turn, or bet out if he checks to you.
Actuary
if you are not capping the flop, then Raise the Turn.

call down if 3-bet on turn.
roadhawg
like they said above raise the turn so you know exactly where you are at. i am guessing he had 99 or 67 something liek that?

no, it's a raise for value, brought about by our deception to not cap the flop.

most of the time I cap flop and see it down from there if he leads turn.

We're not raisng to see where we are.
I mean, are we folding to a 3 bet?
roadhawg
no you're not folding to a 3 bet but you at least know a little more where you stand. he probably has you beat and you have to catch something on the river to win if he rasies and if he just calls you most likely have the best hand and can get more money or save money on the river
Actuary
I guess I'm not sure of the benefits of knowing.
I'll know at showdown.
If we aren't folding (and I think it's an argument to fold the river UI as two pair make up a lot of villais hands), then what is the info for?

and hence if the info is not useful, we should stop using it as a reason to raise the flop and for sure the turn.
Zach6668
I've said it once, I'll say it again:

Raising to know where you stand is a LEAK.
Knight_Owl
1. cap flop

2. Raise Turn

3. Bet River he CHECKED TO U!! (Unless you seriously think Villian is going to check raise you)

you say your good post flop? I C that you r

There is no way I'm raising the turn if I cap the flop, and he leads into me.

Exactly.
that's where you use info..that you got from value capping the flop.
dimseven
Cap flop.

Bet the river.

Dont raise the turn. I don't like not capping flop/raising the turn as an option on that board.

If I read correctly it was 3 Betted on flop righ? If So I Raise Turn!

Villian most likely has a PP 9-9+

The River Check was a Huge Clue! That Villian had something like 9-9 or 10-10 when that player Checked when the Q came in.

Zach said IF flop is capped and Villain still leads Turn, we should not raise. Ok? That's different that if we did not cap. And I'm with Dim and Zach, capping flop is much better than not.

Using the River action to say that's why we are ahead on turn is seriosuly bad strategy etiquette. Use what you know at the time. BB has 99+ a lot here? Well, usually many of thoese hands 3 bet preflop, so based on Preflop, Flop, and Turn, convince me this is 99+ more often than: 66/33/44/64s/77/88/55...

go ahead.

So if Villian caps ragged flop its always a set since he wasn't 3 betted pre-flop vs. Heros K-K?!? Is that what your applying? glare.gif

Therefore playing the K-K passivly on Turn and River?

Since your following on Zachs advice 100%. He also states to bet out if he checks to you. You still going to accept the checked river? Or simply contradicting yourself? icon_eh.gif

dude, read.

1. I listed several non-set possibilities for villain
2. it was not capped
3. I never said checking river was good

River bet if checked to is the easy part, if c/r'd folding is the tough part.
dimseven
Villian's on the BB. He could have anthing and giving hero action instead of letting the hand go uncontested.
