Full Version: When Posting Hands
FCP Poker Forum > Poker Strategy Forum > No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games

Since it appears most arent reading the forum posting guidelines please remember the following:

When Posting hands:

1. Use a hand converter. You can check out the sticky thread to see a converter to use. flopturnriver.com has a hand converter.

2. Dont show results. Knowing the outcome can make people give advice that is results oriented instead of keeping it in a metagame scenerio.

3. If you use a poker site that doesnt have hand histories (bodog for example). Please take the time to make the hand look as close to possible as a real hand history.

4. When making a post make sure you put:
1. Poker tracker stats
2. other information that you have on the player
3. Some explanation of the hand as to your motives/ thoughts

This is for your benefit as we are looking to find optimal plays for situations not just for a specific hand

I usually copy and paste hand history and take out results. This is because I can't figure out how to use hand converter so until then I apologize.

go to this site...set the setting as fcp and it should work no problem...you can also use the option of bet the pot...either way should be fine...

Eh. Just notcied Full Tilt isn't among list of supported sites, perhaps that is why.

Just edit it to look decent like Cobalt. Every single one of his posts looks converted but it's just him manually making the formatting and adding the pot details.

Don't say I never did anything for you guys:

http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter

Covers pretty much the rest of the sites that FTR doesn't cover.

Now someone sticky they **** out of this thread, in every forum.

OR, let me be a mod so I can redo the laughable stickies (or lack thereof) in most of the other strat forums. tongue.gif

Bump for those still starting threads about Full Tilt, Absolute converters...

Thanks gov.

If anyone else has a list of converters that work besides the FTR one, go ahead and post them.
