I raised here, only to get a better low in Seat 8 to fold. My board shows a better low than my opponent, who has been passive, so I was thinking that I might be able to get him to fold by showing strength here, and making them call two bets cold. If he calls, I know I'm hooped, hence the fold to the raise when it got back to me. Any merit in raising there, or am I just spewing at that point?

You really were just spewing. I really don't like that raise at all. There's no chance (especially at this level) that you push anyone off any type of low. If you think there's a possibility your low is good, I call there. If not, I can fold this. That was definitely a waste of a BB. That's the only street I play differently though.

The river raise is pretty bad. I would have raised on 3rd too.

I don't like that. We're the last one to act, with three callers other than the bring-in. At most, a completion on 3rd will drive out the bring-in, but not all the time. i say take the cheap 4th, don't pad the pot here, and don't reopen betting.

I agree, I wouldn't complete on 3rd either. 678 is a pretty bad low draw, I'd want to see the next card cheap and see what develops.
to the OP-
I also really don't understand the river raise, if he chased you down hoping for a low he not going to fold unless he missed. Most players at that level are not folding any kind of made low, you're probably overthinking a little.

Looking back at the hand (before the comments), I realized that the raise on the end was [probably spewingh (hence the reason I asked).
